ParticipantRe: Tricity Bendix AW 1002 W keeps pumping.
yes my first thoughts were water valve with very low coil resistance. only ever had it three times but as already said it sticks in the mind.

i once asked bosch for a service manual for my condeser dryer. a free copy turned up a few days later. it might be worth asking nicely.

ParticipantRe: T/Bendix AW1400W
thanks for that.
i won’t get back until next week. I have already tried a new lock so i’ll check cables for continuity. If it is the triac i’ll solder in another and see what happens.I take it that the fault codes for this are the same as per my now out of date tds disc.

ParticipantRe: sevis m6766w queer fault during cycle
i know what you mean pgs but in this case the door is locked and due to other functions ( fills rotates begins heating etc)i can only assume that it is o.k. also if selector is turned to off then back on the problem disappears for about another 10 mins then comes back.

geoff
can i jump on the band wagon and get the info from you please?
i sold a tricity bendix aw1202w to a very good friend. 2 weeks out of warranty the spider in the sealed drum broke. i asked electrolux for some good will and was ploitely told to p off.
recently i replaced the entire tub from a donor machine. friend has done quite a few washes but now:select any cycle and after a couple of seconds the light jumps to END with the pump running and at no time has the door locked.
i don’t have a copy of faultcodes cos my tds disk is just too old.
i hai’m trying to ve tried a different lock
i have metered the heater and checked insulation.
i have fitted a different thermistor (original reading only 4k)
i have checked carbons and motor insulation.
i have removed board and checked for burn marks. (none)i really want to sort this for my mate. i have not charged a penny nor will i to fix this. i’m doing it for the good will that should have come from manufacturer.
thanks

ParticipantRe: Mobile Phones
if you can’t get a signal in your home and you think it would be useful then have a look at vodafone.co.uk/gateway. we’ve just been given one as part payment for doing an advert for them. if your mobile is 3g enabled then the gateway will work with your broadband connection. anyone else with vodaphone and a 3g phone with your permission and within 100yds of your home should be able to get signal (max four phones in use at a time). i let our neighbours piggy back on ours. yours might even chip in towards cost.
biggest benefit for me is calling customers mobiles on my inclusive mobile minutes so it’s saving a bit.apart from that i know exactly how you feel. i used to have the same problems.

ParticipantRe: mmmmmmmhhhhhh very relaxing but still broke
just been to a mates tricity bendix aw1202w today.
whatever you select on his, the drain pump runs for a few seconds then the end light briefly is lit then it goes dead. i noticed that the door lock does NOT lock.
i’ve tried a new lock, tested heater for o/c and low resistance (o.k.) i’ve also replaced the thermister and checked the carbons and tacho.
i took out the board and found no damage visible.
now i’m stumped.
hope some of this helps, and of course any advice for me would be much appreciated.

try removing the lower front panel so that you can look inside. after removing the leaked water put it on a cycle and watch inside towards the right side.
i’m not sure if your model is the same but i have a customer with 12 integrated smeg dishies (poor sod. although i have one too) any way over the past six months three of them have started leaking in the right side panel. this is fitted to the lower unit by o rings. on all three the leak was right there. dead easy to fix with a thicker ring and to make sure a generous helping of debor around it.hope this helps

ParticipantRe: whirlpool dishwasher
has anybody seen the latest incarnation of the plaset pump? the water heater is housed in the impellor cover. why o why have they started fitting this crap after the hasstle with the first plaset pump. anyway i changed one for the good old cap start motor and it wouldn’t run either. however that new motor was o.k. cos i’ve just fitted it to an older machine and it works fine.

ParticipantRe: zanussi wjd1357 tumble dryer fault
you’ll probably hang me for suggesting this. the condenser coil is only used for drying. so ONLY if it is a faulty p.c.b why couldn’t you piggy back a supply from the dryer fan then the coil would only be energised while fan was running and never at any other time.

buy a copy of tds offline on dvd for about £15. it’s got everything about electrolux and john lewis stuff on it and all of the other lux brand names.
