as long as they can fix bosch, samsung, delonghi, proline, hoover, fisher paykell, lg ,zanussi, triciy, parkinson cowan, candy, etc, etc

but then, if previous posts are to be understood, proffesionalism isnt an option

I dont quite get what you mean by that last comment Helo but let me assure you I have been proffesional right throughout my working life!!!!

It might be worth noting that IF this does happen then you will have a lot of Merloni work and plenty of lads skilled to do it if you did take it over.
A lot of engineers have worked on other brands,Bosch used to make our dishwashers,we make a lot of the Proline stuff and a lot of the guys came on board for the multibrand exercise who were fixing Zannusi,Tricity and Parkinson Cowan.
It aint rocket science learning a new skill,I served my time as an Electrician/Plumber and then took up gas fitting then for some strange reason decided on Hotpoint because they were servicing Gloworm boilers!

One things for sure if it does go t*tsup I will be back to plumbing as personally I think the industry is knackered.

Just wonder what D&G would do .I mean they pay up front for their repairs with Indesit on hte understanding they get a proffesional service in return(no smirking there)Likewise with Currys cant see them being too happy with Comet repairing their machines.

Three spacer washers between the inner drum and support, waste of time though as she is overloading it!

Hmmnn now then as an employee of the pasta barons I should be worried! But I have to confess if they do close service down I will be the first with my hand out for a redundancy cheque!
Dont know what I would do after that though, might see Helo and see if he will put a word in at Comet. 😯

Re: Hotpoint Mistral Frost Free FF92P

    POWER OFF and unplug it
In the freezer section you will see that the back panel is removable(6 or 8 screws)
Remove the panel and you will see the thermistor is clipped to the evaporator or else cable tied to it.
Take care when removing the yellow plug from the block in case you damage the socket.
Replace in reverse order and bobs your uncle.

The fan may have just stuck. Try giving the fan blade a bit of a flick with a screwdriver in a clockwise direction and it should free it up enough to start turning again.

If its a domestic machine in a comercial setting then the customer is bound to get problems.I get a bit sick of going to business premises ie care home 12 residents and them having a go cos the washer is knackered after 6 weeks.

It sounds like the machine is going into a time out(like when you get 1 minute on the Hotpoints)It could be pump problem or heater circuit.

If I can stick my twopennarth in here. When I first started perusing this site I was quick to lock horns with Helo and a couple of others mainly over issues between my company and everyone else and it clouded my judgement off the indie/comet engineers however it has grown to be an imense respect for the work they put in to fix the bloody unfixable without the backup that Indesit offer.(not that its worth much).
As has been pointed out we ARE all on the same side and points scoring is very detrimental to the forum.

Old fashioned joiners pincers do the job better and there is no chance of cutting through the damned clip.
