It sounds like a stat problem to me,what with the led coming on when you open the door.

ParticipantRe: Indeit WG1034T
They only go in one way,the solid end causes the rivet to expand, failing that the zannusi/hotpoint pegs fit as well.

ParticipantRe: Creda 48339 – replacement Flourescent light tube
I would go with the tube as well.
If you do need the starter some are fitted next to the mains block, others are under the hob.kiddo66
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Rl34G makes terrible noise
To further back up Helo,s posting this model has a compressor protection circuit on the pcb and might not switch back on for up to 30 mins.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint condenser dryer
Those stats are NOT meant to be reset, fit the correct stat kit and I would be checking the capacitor as there was an issue with those.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WF340 Won’t start.
I would agree with whats been posted so far,Motor fault for sure,,,Pull pull pull on the wires on the motor plug and you will have a broken one.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint DT77X Built in Double Oven – No Heat
Did you have a good look at the selector switch.I have had them blow a trace across the link on the switch especially if the heater has blown with a bit of venom.

ParticipantRe: Flooding Indesit IDL705SUK.2
There is a kit to replace the bottom door seal.
C00056475 on partfinder at £29
It is a secondary seal which clips to the tub.Leave the old seal in place, the door will be a bit stiff for a few days but will soon settle in.kiddo66
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Mistral fridge warm freezer fine
Sorry I give up it is impossible to read or make sense of the posts.Keep hold of the Hotpoint and put the £135 towards a dictionary and a thesaurus please.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Aquarius CTD00
Would have to agree with Jim,check the rear fan is not slipping on the motor shaft, this would explain the poor drying performance as well as the noise.

ParticipantRe: Aqualtis question.
The only thing I can think of is if the drum jammed and the motor has been pulling a slightly higher current then it has knacked the module.

ParticipantRe: Question for you Gas Guys ?
I would think in most case that water ingress into a gas cooker would be a major headache, the pipework, ffds, thermostats and injectors will all have to be blown clear.I would imagine the combi boilers gas valve would have been affected and water would have got into the burner assy.
I would demand that BG service each and every appliance and have someone standing over them when they are doing it to se how much water comes out of the appliance also what sort of guarantee they will offer on the work they are doing,if they wont guarantee it then i wouldnt accept the repair.IMOkiddo66

As I said, I am actually a Serviceforce Tech so Hotpoint dishwashers aren’t my speciality but you mentioned the turbidity sensor. Do you have a photo of what it looks like? If it looks like what I am thinking, it is in the base on a clear plastic pipe situated above the drain pump & has a direct wiring connection to the float microswitch so this could have some relevance. What would happen if this were disconnected? Would this be recognised as a fault by the board? Is there any way of testing it with my meters or is this not possible? If so, what sort of reading should be found?
Thanks in advance.
I cant upload a photo as I dont have one,it sounds as though you are looking at the right thing though. If you disconnect it you will either get no fill and a fault code or else it wont stop filling.
You should get an open circuit if it is faulty or you might have one that tests ok but goes o/c when it gets a bit of juice across it. -
