    Re: Old Crouzet timer motor?

Never mind. Next time anyone does a search for one of those it should bring up this thread, so I’ll await the deluge of PMs. 😆

    Re: Old Crouzet timer motor?

I’ve got several s/h Crouzet timer motors all thin coil and two brand new thick coils 😳 . Going to landfill soon if you don’t want them. Last time I used one must be about ten years ago.

Re: What have I done wrong – competition

I thought you already had it sorted and were just running a competition. If it’s not sorted yet, you shouldn’t be handing out the prize till it is!
Don’t know how you managed to tap on the brushes while the motor was still on the machine and switched on. Sounds just a tiny bit risky if you’re lying under the machine with it switched on. 😕 But I suppose you know what you’re about.
Still, could be a wire not making good contact inside the motor plug, where the insulation displacement is. Or perhaps there’s an issue with the module.

Amp tags are 1/4″ Lucar connectors.

Re: HPT dw FDW60 “end light, red, l/h side flashing, no

Probably nothing there then; saved themselves a couple more pence.
I guess the guys working for a pittance in the factory are getting their own back by not doing things up tight!
Got to go back to it next week again as it’s been blowing further fuses since. Must remember my loop tester this time. Think the detergent may have eaten the motor insulation although it was reading OK after I hairdryer’d it for ten minutes.

Re: HPT dw FDW60 “end light, red, l/h side flashing, no

    Was water in base.
Once again, as so often in the past, due to the lower spray arm base coming unscrewed from the sump beneath it. They probably only do them up finger tight at the factory? This one was completely detached. Could see no “O” ring or gasket present; shouldn’t there be one?

Maybe it has one of those thermistors in a hose in the base down the bottom of the condenser where the two thin (orange?) wires break?
Or what about water flow / green solenoid? Tech data should be available on Connect mediator.

Hope you won’t be fooled by them the way our customers are!

I’ve had a bit of experience with camcorders and you can’t really tell anything till you’ve tried one out for an hour or two. Even then you need to be aware of what you’re looking for. If it’s for playing around any thing will do but if you want natural colours and a good signal to noise ratio then you’ll need to do some homework. Plenty of good review sites out there but so many makes and models with such a variety of features it’s like trying to choose a washing machine!

You should make it OK. Dunno how long this Cameroni bloke is going to expect us young ‘uns to keep going. 👿 .
Still, maybe they can get some volunteers to take over our trade 😆 .
