Hah! I must have been too busy watching the subsea gusher.
This is easy. Disconnect dryer heater. It’ll all work fine. Megger dryer heater on its own; it’ll be under 40Megohm ins res. If you’re to replace, get right one , two poss. one 2x 1000w , one 2x 700w IIRC.

Hmm. Wonder if this is Chinese? Only part available on Connect is soap hose. Think lock may be snap fit. You may need to push a plastic lug or two in where screws would have been.
Has it got one of those nice cheap selector switches? Look at that first after lock. But my gut feeling is mysterious pcb failure. Probably be cheapish though, but risky still.

Give the ntc wires a good wiggle / pull.
You may find one that’s broken inside the insulation just near the terminal.

Have you tried doing a search using the link up to the top left there?
Nearest I can remember of my own experiences was this one.
Couple more months and it will have survived for a year. 😀

There is an absolutely massive shortage of capable whitegoods repairers.
Manufacturers are desparate for techs to do Warranty
Mind you some pay better than others
What do you pay your Techs ??
We pay $55,000 Au Plus VAN (Petrol of Course) phone ,laptop,uniforms\Super 9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} etc etcWould they be so desperate that they’d give me a work permit? 56yrs old, not worked for an employer for last 25 of that, so no refs.
Would they also pay my overland fare? As I don’t like flying and I’d like to take a couple of years to enjoy the journey.
If yes to all above questions, I can start travelling within a month.

23 years ago when I was attending the skills centre as a trainee in this profession, the tutor said to us, “You’ll never earn a fortune in this business but you’ll always have work.” It is still just about true, as long as you remember the first bit of the sentence.
And anyway, what’s the alternative? Shelf-stacking in Tesco’s. And even that’s probably not too secure.

I imagine it should be poss to download user manual from bsh site. You could then check delay start theory.

Maybe you’d get more replies if you amended the title of thread to give model no, appliance type (i.e. wm) and “E2”. 😉

Complete assy, as far as I know. Never had to do one myself, only going on what I’ve read here. Much cheaper to get new reed switch from Maplins and solder it in yourself. I think the rotor with pcb just pulls out. The info’s all in here somewhere. Just have to search. And search, and search… :taz:
That’s why I try to put as much info as possible into the TITLE of every technical query I start, so that when search results come up I can quickly find relevant threads. Am going to start campaign to get others to do same.

I’ve done this on a Bosch where it had blown a hole about 8mm dia. and succeeded.
