Certainly sounds like some problem that kicks in at higher water levels. So maybe it’s something to do with a pressure switch or the stuff that attaches to it.

I’d have a look at that module and see if there’s any burn marks or relay terminal dodgy joints.

ParticipantRe: Hoover hnf7148 constant pump
Long shot perhaps, but one of my favourite odd faults in this situation, short circuit through one of valve coils. Yes it happens occasionally and if it’s in series with pump which it sometimes is…….

Check the insulation resistance of the dryer element. 😉

Well it fits 02-200571 according to Connect. Would suggest giving them a ring. Or e-mail shop@ukwhitegoods who have same part in stock.

Wait. Not so sure. Could be 481246418163. Still POA at MPT but some hope as only out of stock at Connect. Described as “frame, door glas 1” 😕 Or even glassdoor frame 481246418162 POA/ oos £42.13. This is doing my head in.

Jim.
Hope you’ve taken precautions against warping if it’s hot up there. (Don’t break your leg rushing up the loft ladder!)

Megger all components individually, I’d say. These Lux boards don’t like damp/low ins.. take hairdryer or WD40 to motor. Also check them all as being within expected ranges of dc resistance. After that, wiggle some wires, and finally look for dry joints on board. It’s worth it if it saves investing in a board you may end up not using. Oh, hang on a minute, that’s an ewm1000 board? EMW then. Or try replacing the 12v relays. But damp is first thing.

ParticipantRe: Bosch D/W SGS45C02GB/02
There are various versions of these elements. Sometimes you can use a cheaper version and just change the ntc/stat over from the old one. It would be a great service to this community if someone/ones in a position to have all versions in stock, or turning them over regularly could take clear side by side photos of them all and post them up, maybe in a sticky?
I tried to start this
.here but still haven’t got round to pictures yet and this job only happens every six months for me.

If you’ve got an account with Connect, you can get all the service info off the “mediator” facility. If not, I’m sure someone’ll send it to you if you hang around a bit.

Wow! That was an early start! You must really know the business. 😀
I’m thinking your worry, like all worry, is pointless and misplaced though.
You’ve got useful practical skills and experience which put you miles ahead in terms of survival.
