Well that was entertaining. The things we get up to when we’re not busy!
Surely all this stuff you’ve learned will come in useful one day. Except you’ll have forgotten it by then! 😆

After reading this thread, and thinking back to my own experiences with Servis module faults, I think in future I will exclude them from my repertoire.
    Unless it’s just the resistors.
Or maybe the burnt amp tags, too.
    Anything else, too much hassle.

OMG, you mean it’s not sufficient just to be Corgi registered? We’d have to find somebody local to here with a particular certificate for gas tumble dryers? This health and safety industry is just getting out of hand. Regulations, regulations, regulations, yeah jobs for the boys more like, check this, check that, fill in this assessment, tick these boxes, sit through this course (and fall asleep). Never mind all the environmental damage caused by throwing away perfectly good things because they’re past their date code (e.g. helmets, fire extinguishers, even three pin plugs).
    😡 😡
OK that’s it, rant over, thanks for listening, feel much better now.

    Re: bosch sgs45e08gb/45

If it works when you thump it then that must mean there’s something loose or broken and if that is, as P45 says, the pcb then it might be caused by door slamming. Now, let’s suppose it’s a tiny invisible crack somewhere (I’ve had this when repairing audio equipment), you may find it can be overcome by stuffing something non-conductive in the pcb box to put it under a just a leetle bit of tension. Bit of trial and error involved but you could charge for that if successful. Better than landfill if the customer won’t stretch.

Re: 3RLGR5435HQ0 Noise. How to get inside?

Thanks spimps. Great to have that info. I’ll tell the guy that if he can organise the gas man to check it over then I’ll do the job, if not then no. I’ll give him an estimate to cover wheels, shafts, fan and tensioner and if he’s OK with that I’ll go round and dismantle it to see exactly what’s needed. Then when I go back with required parts he can have the gas man lined up. Already got the exploded from the American site you posted up on a previous thread.

Re: 3RLGR5435HQ0 Noise. How to get inside?

Hmm. What’s the law on it? Anybody know? The guy had disconnected it from the gas himself, a simple push pull thingy. I’ve worked on one or two gas hobbed range cookers in the past with electric ovens without needing to touch the gas parts.
It’d be a nice cop out for me if the law says no because the thing is a pretty filthy job with loads of accumulated dust. On the other hand I’m sure if I can’t do it, the thing’s gonna end up as landfill despite being a pretty easy fix I’d think, and as you say, a decent machine.

Connect list a part as MLE5289391 and then say it’s NLA. They do give an alternative; their code 5045172172709, (also fits G660/2) . In stock at £24.52. Presumably Dave could get you one.

Have you looked in error codes thread or do you have the error codes book? There’s a test routine on p77 of the book.

Not sure about the polarity business but the other thing sounds like it’s set on auto (if it has that facility) and needs setting to manual.

    Re: Bosch ETL6103GB/01 Not heating

Certainly wouldn’t order module before having checked old one visually. Could just be a burnt relay joint like on the dishwashers. Also check NTC and connections if it has one.
