Have you read through all “related topics” at foot of thread?

Would be unlikely to do so on a consistent basis, I would think unless someone moved the position of the hose inadvertently at some point before they called you in.

    Oops, hadn’t seen Martin’s reply.

Signal from impellor jug not arriving at module (loom / connector dodgy)? Or module with mysterious fault.

Yes, it’s fine to do that as long as you are aware that by removing this flood prevention device you are reducing the protection against a flooded kitchen. Which is fine if you are doing it as a temporary check to see if the aquastop is the problem. If the machine then works (though it may very well not) you can even leave it as a “permanent” repair if they are happy to sign a detailed twenty page legal document drawn up by your solicitor indemnifying you against any responsibility should the kitchen subsequently flood at any future date. 😀

You could try fitting a normal fill hose in its place temporarily.

That is what I mean. (Though I don’t even know for sure this model has one but most do.) Quick test: lid off, and with due care give drum a helping hand to see if it starts.

Sorry, I interpreted that as meaning you had an indication with e.g. a “voltstick”, rather than your multimeter connected across the element. The control from pcb is usually in the neutral side.

Re: zanussi DW908 stops mid cycle

Would it “stop” (= no sloshing?) just because it wasn’t heating?
I doubt it. Perhaps it’s not reaching the heating period before stopping.

Why not just try a new mains filter in anyway? Better than them scrapping machine.

Impellor jug if it’s got one. Anti-flood dome? Mushroom? Could be that then; they give trouble. A search for mushroom should bring up plenty.

Re: Indesit W123UK BG Program sticks on wash

I think (but don’t quote me on this) Indy ones are about 20k to 25K at room temperature. But if it changes with temp. rise/fall then you can be pretty sure it’s OK. Connectors are unreliable.
What about a heater element that goes open circuit when it gets hot? Long shot, I know.
