Maybe you could cut away into the plastic of the uF until you came to the legs and then solder a new uF to them leaving long legs (insulated of course). It would save you investing in a new board and then finding there were other faults caused by all those bangs.

Good evening,Thanks chaps,
The condenser unit is getting wet; is this normal, and definetely requires a good clean out…
How does one do this?
Best wishes,

They are supposed to be cleaned after each use but noone ever does…
best way to clean them (if you have the time) is to soak for an hour in a bath of warm water and then rinse from all directions with the tap on full.George
😆 It would kind of make it hardly worth the bother of using a tumble dryer if you had to clean the condenser unit after each use! (I think you mean the filter). Could save a hell of a lot of energy by causing people to use their washing lines!

Indeed.
I can’t find a 67 page one 😕
I just had got fed up repeating “40 Megohms” all the flippin’ time 😆 .

I would explain it all to the rental agency, that you can’t be sure that they won’t also need a power board and give a provisional estimate that covers you for all eventualities. You could even recommend they or the landlord ring the manufacturers to find out what they’d charge.
Sounds as if it’ll set the landlord back a couple of hundred whichever way he jumps and you will retain their custom by being honest about it rather than pretending you can see in the dark. If they expect their repairer to take those risks then you’re better off not working for them .

😯 That sounds scary. I remember last time though, I managed to fit the new springs by laying the machine on the floor and working through the base but it was some struggle. Maybe I’ll just take my angle grinder along .

Hi Bob, Thanks for that. I’ve decided it’s best to make my e-mail address visible to all. Can always take it down again if they start bombarding me 😆 .
Don’t understand why I should need to re-programme the board if it came from same model :?. I see the card reader’s a horrendous price now, £64 at Connect, and the cards are £11+. I might abandon the project to use secondhand boards if your info is correct and give the business back to EMW.
I have got the fascia board too. Does that make any odds?

Yeah, but I’d feel a bit cheeky.

ParticipantRe: Can I swap WF210 board set for burnt out WF321?
Hmm.
The board I got which is reputedly from a WF321 looks absolutely fine but it lacks some of the components which were on the old board, notably J2 and J5 sockets and Q14 triac, K6 relay and some smaller stuff near J5.
Looking at WF210 and WF340 boards I also have, they don’t have those extra bits either. I don’t think, but can’t remember for sure, that those two sockets were used on the actual machine. I wonder if later boards (this WF321 is 2006) had less components?
Any historians of Merloni electronic circuitry qualified to post-graduate level able to supply answers to this conundrum here?

That’s a point too. But once customers know about that reset button, some of them will go on pressing it before every cycle until nothing works anymore rather than call you out :rolls: .

Probably too late now. House is probably just a pile of ashes.
Better ring first tomorrow, check house is still there. Don’t want a wasted journey.
Only other things that click that I can think of are motors with raised armature segments or relays. But I doubt WF00 relays would be audible to customer.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for your advice. I’m not going to invest in reader and smart card, just don’t want to get involved in all that. (I’ve got the right board on the way too but just don’t see what the difference is between models.) Is it spin speed? Also, are all specimens of same model same spin speed? Had a look at selector knobs and they look same too.

Could be crackling noise as board begins catching fire? 😈

ParticipantRe: help electrolux oven eso pmss
Oh yeah, I’d definitely have a look. Customer might be lucky. Also I think these ovens were expensive (£300+?) so could be worth trying to figure out board even if it is that. Posssible that QER or EMW may do them.
