All Comet engineers at my depot are fully trained in the use of both meter’s and mega’s.
What they do in the field is there option as no one else is there…….. but if recall’s get to high a senior eng’s will go out and inspect there work and also go out with them to check there working practices.
But what has this got to do with is Comet In Financial Trouble? ????

Just to make sure if you twist it together and then try it should work – but only as a temp measure DO NOT LEAVE !!

Using fast freeze just by-passes the stat / pcb for about 2 hours normally therefore not likely to be temp probe.

sensor is available as a spare part, look on the left hand side in fridge part number as per bosch website is :
031733 Fridge and same for Freezer.
Both changeable behind plastic cover.

Are they using bounce?? as this can affect the sensor band try cleaning then retest.

From memory is there a micro switch behind bottom flap right hand side which if faulty stops dryer from working ??
