Sarah please be carefull if the appliance is tripping the mains has a serious safety fault which can only be checked with the right test instrument that we call a “Megger” a multimeter is the wrong test instrument.
You really need to get a “pro” out to it, try the yellow pages or ask around your friends or neighbours, most independant engineers only charge in the region of £40-50
By the way the appliance should really be wired with a 13amp plug, it came with one 😉 and it guarantees safe isolation if required

White chamber is the water softener, leave well alone ❗
If the appliance if “dropping” the tablet then it should start to heat, is it?
If it is leaving dirty water after it has heated then you may have a drain/pump problem but check the drain hose first this may be connected to the sink bend? if so take it it off and check for a blockage at that point. 😉

If so then you need C00143322 & C00143323. hinge supports.

Jim.Not sure Jim they are just the sockets where the hinges locate into on the cabinet

It also asks what Health and Safety Procedures I have in place. I am unsure how to word the answer, so would welcome any suggestions

I cannot see why or how you can comply with “Construction Design & Management Regulations 2007”, our industry is domestic appliances, so I think you need to point this out to them. Don’t forget they are just estate agents and will have little idea of what are the correct procedures for your business.

You should have your own “Elf and safety” plan ie: Create safe working practices, do risk assessments on arrival to property (mine is basically it looks dangerous so it is) don’t say that to them though 😉
You must create safe working areas both for yourself and Joe Public Insist that adults children and pets are not in the same room etc., bit of an impossability with the adults though. 😥
Make them aware that you do Electrical safety tests both before and after you affect a repair even offer them a copy of your tests. All they are after is to pass the buck to you so they can keep there hands clean if the brown stuff hits the fan

    All basic common sense really.

No doubt someone will come up with some written practice now that you have started tghis post 😉

    Confused dot com 😳

So you only need this cert. if you work on the gas side? NOT if you only work on the electrical side, stats, modules etc. Can you clarify this please?
I gave up on the re-gassing and replacing compressors side years ago as I found it not cost effective with only the odd compressor per year.

Penguin45 wrote:Well, plumbers charge more than appliance engineers – £65 for a plumber in Leeds, and people pay up. We are seriously undervalued…….

    Penguin45.
The trouble if we start charging £65 then we will just promote the “chuck out” society, plumbers are onto a winner, when people need one it’s to fix something, they can’t just go out and buy a new plumbing sytem for the house 🙁
