Yes a nice clean site and comes up well on Google, except for example Maidstone. Boy have you got competition there as your site doesn’t show at all, so many cover that town it seems.
You might consider listing more place names, I mean loads more place names that you cover. The map is good but search engines don’t fuss with maps, they feed on masses of information to put you up there. Aylesford another example, you’re not listed. The big guys have swallowed the alphabetical list of every single town, village and hamlet in every county across the land and put it on their website to grab the action going on down there. 😕

It might just be the door interlock at fault. On this 2nd wash attempt does the door lock?

The hinges inside the door usually suffer the most wear meaning the door doesn’t quite shut against the seal at the top. The pivot pins wear within the hinge assembly meaning you need to replace both hinges. Only in extreme cases do the receivers need replacing as well.

OK Iain so it seems the programme resets as it should. The programme LEDs don’t normally go out anyway and the Rinse Aid LED is just indicating that the Rinse Aid needs a refill.
So, next question, at this point you cannot set any other programme option? If that is the case then that Control Unit is faulty and needs replacing. 🙁

Can you tell us exactly what happens when you set the ‘Reset’?

ParticipantRe: Detergent left in door (Bosch SGV57T03GB/07)
It should fall out as the door opens during the main wash part of the cycle.

Yes, that’s why I suggested you Megger the heater. 😉

Probably so. The burden of truth is difficult to prove in the high court. Though the evidence is overwhelming, take for example the hundreds of Vauxhall Zafiras. Nobody died in their case. But we have a situation where potentially lethal domestic appliances have resulted in the death (or deaths?) and forensics have put the finger of blame on the tumble dryer at the catalyst.
So if forensic scientists can prove, without doubt in a court of law, that someone died as direct result of a faulty gas boiler. Then surely the same applies toward a wholely inadequate heating system within a tumble dryer?
Yes, I’ve already figured your reply. That essentially the burden of blame is placed on the USER. That a gas boiler can only kill someone if it either hasn’t been serviced or that the ventilation has proved to be inadequate. Likewise that dryer has to have proper exhaust ventilation in place and that the lint filter is cleaned every time, and to be in good order.
Essentially in all these instances the manufacturer hasn’t put firmly in place the ‘what if?’ factor. That gas boilers should have external CO detectors that shut them down if conditions are beyond their operating tolerances. That tumble dryers do not contain open coiled heating elements that react violently toward all flammable substances that pass over them.
Regulation toward safety has to be stepped up. We wave goodbye to the EU and now must put in place far greater regulation toward safety for a world market place.
Come the revolution comrade. 😉

Why waste money on Google when all you need do is sort your web site out? Your website may look fancy with all apparent bases covered but what it lacks are KEYWORDS. Fancy graphics and links look impressive enough but in order to reach all you seek as new custom your site needs a mass of information. Information Google bots pick up and place you up there on the top of the tree.
The brands you fix, the types of appliance, the areas covered, postcodes, names of towns, villages, even small hamlets. Stick all this info on your site and BINGO you are up there!
I typed on Google ‘Washing Machine repair in Medway’ and you turned up on page 5. Just saying……. 😕

ParticipantRe: Bosch WVT1260 steaming
Sounds like you have cleaned the condenser sufficiently so it may be the valve is not allowing water through constantly as it should. If the water flow stops and starts due to a faulty valve coil that is a possibility. (Though that would usually show up a programme error code)
You’re going to have to sit and watch what happens throughout the dry cycle. But no, steam from the powder tray is not right.

Wrong forum, should post this stuff in Trade Technical.
Check the ribbon connection between the display board and power module.
Faulty plug or wall socket?
Megger heater.
That should cover it. 😉

Always a raft of publicity pops up whenever a tumble dryer catches fire especially so when a property also goes up in smoke and people are injured. What you never get to hear about, at least I haven’t, is if anyone has successfully sued Whirlpool over all this?
I would have thought the various insurance companies that have to deal with so many claimants must at some point look to the Whirlpool Corporation for recompense?

slyp98 wrote:Hi Martin, I didn’t know they gave that fault
If the magnetic door sensor switches on and off randomly it would give the symptoms you describe. Often the cure is not replacing the sensor but that the door hinge bearings wear and the door drops by as little as 1mm. So you might want to check the nylon bearings for wear.

Not a fault associated with the magnetic door switch then?
