Like most Hoover stuff you have to count the flashes to get the error code. (They usually flash at 1Hz then a longer pause before repeating)

    Re: Daewoo washer dryer temperatures

Replacing the TOC wouldn’t rectify the problem but relacing the termistor probably would. I’ve never seen a Daewoo in my life but I’d like to think that, like other makes, it does at least have a temperature control stat or thermistor?

Pumps and fills at the same time can only be that the triacs on the board have blown. Have you inspected the PCB?

Hot fill for 1 year? All the guys wardrobe must have really shrunk by now? Did he speak with a squeaky voice? 😈

I also get confused how to tell wether a compressor is not running due to a faulty thermostat, or an actual compressor problem?

OK so lets pile some information in here for you, starting with: –

Now that is scary because if you don’t wire it back up one for one you risk blowing the TOC and the switchgear.

It is not unusual for a new element to be faulty (even that genuine one) So that needs checking for continuity first of all. Then you might want to check the TOC ( thermal overload cut out) and if the 2 appear OK then you’ve either wired in wrongly or the switchgear is at fault.

    😕

Some local council run charities can fund in certain exceptional circumstances. To find out if you can be included then you will need to visit your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

The black spot is 195/165T 🙂

I don’t have the part number of the blue spot to get that info. 😉

Certainly not, no point but is that existing nut the ‘Nyloc’ type? If not then it should be. What model are we discussing here anyway?

There is a service bulletin out on this problem. The correct stat is a black spot pt no :8071955010. The insulation surrounding it should have no gaps whatsoever as the residual heat from the uninsulated liner causes premature tripping. Ensure too that the rear insulation doesn’t block the air vent below the oven cavity.

If you would like a copy of the bulletin I could always email it your way if you pm your email address. 💡

Re: Zanussi Tumble Dryer TD160 – parts help

You might like to check the old stat as those 2 black leads may well be joined internally? That being the case then they both would need to be saddled together on the new stat with the pink on the other terminal.

All the wiring diagrams for this model show just 2 wires going to the stat anyway. 😕

Any further queries you may have then can I suggest you give use the full PNc number off the rating plate (e g 916????????)

Indeed it’s either cash under the mattress OR bank via a private account instead.
