    Re: Back to Royal Mail.

In this trade one has to define what exactly can be regarded as “urgent?”

What pressure can a customer inflict that makes the time needed so so desperate that only next day delivery on a ‘one off’ part be so desperately sought?

Given the extreme logistics required throughout the UK for a third party to fetch, carry and deliver from point A to point B usually via their own internal distribution centres. The task so mind blowing it defies any any logical reasoning as to how they do it AND profit from it?

Or how RM can even exist these days and compete at the same level given all the adverse anomalies it faces in the teeth of competition?

The fact pifflingly small bits needed to rectify a minor domestic crisis are transformed into a major commercial incident that potentially threatens the reputation of a long established sole trader thanks to the frailties of the distribution system the implications are hard to imagine.

    It’s tough out there. :eeek:

With labour and the part a local repairman (thats not VAT registered) could sort it for around £75 – £80 in total. 😀

Any cheap steel toecapped trainers that fit. I replace them when the steel pokes through due to the inevitable kneeling, as if in prayer, all day long.

B&Q blue shoe covers at the ready to avoid soiling the carpet/flooring.

The 3 way water inlet valve will need to be replaced. (No 3 serves the condenser dryer function hence the error)

Were you attracted to its smooth Italian styling?
Perhaps the simple Latin inspired controls swung it for you?
Or maybe the round ‘pizza shaped’ door had you salivating with desire?
The ice white colour reminded you of Italian ice cream?
Maybe you were overwhelmed by the charms of the Curry’s sales force?
or the ‘cheap as a round of drinks’ price tag was the decider?

Whatever your reasoning it does indeed beggar belief.

That aside, what resistance reading does the NTC give anyway?

From the schematic it doesn’t look riveted Fase. Splits apart on removal of the handle screws by the looks of it.

The most likely possibility is that the motor brushes need replacing. In any event though it’s a good machine and worth investing on a fix.

Evren, the Elektro Helios element has no UK equivalent. It may look to us as remarkably like the old Hoover but sadly it is not. I’m curious as to why you didn’t buy the Finnish supplied spare part? You even gave us the link to it. It is shorter than the old Hoover one we are familiar with, has 5 terminals (though I appreciate only 3 are used) and most important of all it has the all important rubber ‘shoulder’ designed for external compression against the plastic tub.

The elements featured throughout this thread show a compression gromment designed for internal compression only. That type will NOT fit …!

If it doesn’t look like this then don’t fit it…..

Well the immediate affect of an overwhelming out vote will unite Scotland and Wales ever closer to England. That mad Scottish women’s desire for an independent Scotland more remote than ever. We’ll be all in this together, proud to be British, God save the Queen!

Friday June 23rd 2017 a new bank holiday that we will refer to thereafter as UK Independence Day.

    I can only wish. 😉
