Do please contact your local Indesit agent in South Africa for a copy of the user booklet (if available) and a possible service visit to check out your appliance properly 🙂

Sadly we in the UK cannot assist you further on this 🙁

Re: Soap tray water galleries blocked with mould

A much easier way to clear the black slime from the fabric conditioner “galleries” is to poke a small plastic ‘cable tie’ up the relevant nozzle. Set the machine on a final rinse cycle a couple of times to check it’s cleared should do it 8)

As Rob says, a service wash now and again is beneficial, also leave the soap drawer and porthole door open slightly after use 😉

If caught it would burn and not tear. Careless loading or more likely overloading is the usual reason for this 😉

Re: Bosch exxcel Condenser dryer – container full light

The pump hose that feeds the container often blocks at the entry nozzle to the water container. Removing hose coupling and nozzle and cleaning therefore is the likely required fix 😉

I’ve just received confirmation of Allied & Leicester’s merchant service charges for credit/debit card transactions. Their charges are a set-up charge (one off) of £150, an electronic terminal and PIN number extension (rental charges of £15 p.m. for terminal made by Hypercom).
    Credit Card transactions @ 2.1{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Debit Cards @ 26p.

Being as Lloyds TSB rip me off at 4.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} per credit card their 2.1{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} is very reasonable indeed and that would represent an annual saving to me of around £400 (minimum)

I rang my Lloyds TSB ‘Business Manager’ to give him an earbashing about their ripping me off in charges each month. He looked at my account, apologised and said their was bu$$er all he could do, the charges had to stand as company policy. I’ve been banking with Lloyds since 1985 and he will be sorry to lose my business. But if truth be known he really doesn’t give a stuff. I’m just one more sole trader that has got wise to their shabby dealings and no real loss to them anyway!

    Sod ’em 👿

Mike the Bike is a little ‘trying’ at the very least. Just don’t take his advice on how to ‘hot wire’ a Bosch motor OK? 😆

    GuinnessMan,

Full marks to you for your persistence on this issue over the Pressure switch albeit I believe you are barking up the wrong tree here 😯

Unfortunately I suspect the problem is a little more complex, expensive to sort and more likely associated to being a motor problem 😕

The main Control Module is very sensitive to excess current being drawn by the motor and goes into ‘default’ and ends up with the fault symptoms you describe. It then also gives false error code (flashing light sequence) readings and confusion reigns supreme 😯

You need an expert to test the motor (500volt insulation test) to confirm my suspicions of course but nevertheless it has to be done. As messing around with the Pressure Switch will only add to further confusion and expense.

    Re: Partscenter Friend or Foe??????

I think the many Wash-Vac employees that access this site won’t be too upset at the recent comment over their call centre or that they couldn’t obtain an obsolete part. 😉

Washvac_Wayne called by to see me yesterday to demonstrate the recent and on-going improvements to the Parts Center website. And I was suitably impressed and encouraged by Wash Vac’s (aka) Parts Center approach and commitment to getting their site right and back on track.

Whilst their website may appear a little daunting to navigate through, it is in fact quite simple and a valuable tool once you know which buttons to press. Lots of further improvements to come in the near future apparently, including dealing with the issue of ‘backorders’ and such like.

So be kind and constructive in any criticisms you may have with Parts Center is my advice. They are reading and taking to heart all issues raised here on UKW for the mutual benefit of us all 🙂

    Martyn,

You will need a replacement cable and cable terminal assembly (Part No 498262. available via emailing spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk )

I would advise expert help in replacing this though (see Repairs@ link below) as the wall socket and electrical supply to it will need fully inspecting/testing.

Dodgy electrics or rodent damage are the usual offenders by the way!

mr_rcch wrote:any thoughts on the not heating for wash?

I don’t need to even look as I know it is heating on wash by virtue of the fact that the machine completes the full wash cycle. If the heater wasn’t working it would stick on the wash part of the cycle and would not rinse or spin. 😉

Check the connection to the cold valve?

Usually these machines fill with hot to the first level whilst tumbling, then switch to cold to complete the fill process. If the cold valve is open circuit (very common) then the machine goes into default and (you guessed it) the Start light flashes 😯

I can send you the .pdf file of the wiring diagram Mark if it will help figure that one? The link that was broken was from the K6 Relay terminal on the diagram as far as I can figure. ..The old motor would tumble in both directions quite happily (the new motor wouldn’t at all) but neither old or new would work on the spin setting. 😕

I would appreciate the answer as much as you…thanks! 😀

Re: New Neff w/m motor won’t work?

    Deep joy!…..The 2nd motor works!!!

Ahhh… but I have to confess now 😳 , and top marks go to boro on this one (plus a bit of help from gegsy supplying a wiring diagram, thanks Greg 😉 The 2nd motor did not work this morning when I plugged it in, and remembering boro’s comment on the module I took a look at the tracks this time 🙄

😯 Darn me wasn’t one track blown, so out with the soldering iron and a link wire……sorted…..new motor works a treat. 😀

Lesson learnt here :- if the old motor still works but a new one doesn’t, best take a butchess at the module in case a track has blown as well ❗
