We being UKW Ltd I guess?

So you don’t need the Subscribers fund in this regard then?

Last night I waded through the Masterpart catalogue looking for this kit? Never thought to look under AEG though, but there it is on page 18 🙂

💡 (I must remember to look under AEG and possibly Bendix next time I can’t find it under Zanussi)

Have you actually removed the tacho coil to check the magnet Bob?

If the timer quickly advances through spin then almost always that’s due to incorrect feed-back from the motor. Brushes and Magnet the main protagonists 😉

Re: Ariston Dishwasher – DOOR WILL NOT OPEN!!!

I use a stiff wire hook placed through the handle grip into the mechanism and a sharp yank on the door trim. ……not as easy as it sounds, the first one took me 30 mins before I sussed the correct approach. ❗

Can make a grown man cry in the process and I’ve seen one totally buggered by some ‘have a go husband’ (as we say in the trade 😉 )

You have been warned!!! (see below for help by the way……

The model number would be useful as there are several variants (look up your user booklet for that info 😉 ).

Forcing the door open is often the only way we in the trade tackle these problems though, then order and fit new door locking mechanisms 🙁

tonyclifton wrote:yes martin, i re-designed and built a better bearing tool than what is on the market as hotpoint one is unless and mine is pretty cool and made attachments to fit all machines, with out having to buy different ones .

    Thought as much 😉

The Hotpoint ‘Little Red Box’ is total tosh (and funny money to buy too 🙁 ) So how about a sneaky peek at your bearing tool* eh?

    * No innuendo intended by the way, but the minds of some of our colleagues are questionable sometimes when they read these posts :rotfl:

    Re: Rudest cold caller ever

There usually are only 2 standard ‘opening addresses’ that cold callers come out with, the first being … “Could I speak to the owner of the business there please?” …and “Could I speak to the person that deals with your advertising?”

To avoid being rude to them, and in order to maintain your self respect and that of your company, simply reply……. “How’s your day going so far?…. as mine is going so very bad I suggest you phone again another day….thank you for calling, goodbye for now!”

Don’t mention it Mark, my pleasure 🙂

Incidentally, the last 3 Bosch machines on your list are almost identical in their overall performance and internal workings. The first model ( the SRS53C0GB) is a scaled down version with less of the frills (i.e. Sound insulation, shelf/racking options and no automatic wash control sensing) than the others. However it does the same job in a shorter overall wash-time than the rest, which is favourite I reckon in order to clear those Sunday Roast dishes in half the time!

Oh! one more thing…the silver/stainless fronted machines show all the fingermarks up beautifully. So you’ll be forever battling to keep it looking clean in a busy kitchen, therefore best stick to a white one I reckon 😉
