Look very closely Paul as there are always scratch marks on the PCB terminals where it was located. A magnifying glass is a useful tool in a case like this and for spotting dry joints also 😉

Gunner wrote:I am looking for a recomendation for a Good replacement, we only have space for a slimline dishwasher WE CANNOT FIT IN A FULL SIZE ONE !!!!

NO REALLY UNLESS WE SPEND THOUSANDS REDESIGNING THE KITCHEN!!

Why! oh! why! do so many here in the UK when deciding that they ‘need’ an automatic dishwasher, choose to fit a ‘slimline’ model instead of what the majority choose?……….”We don’t have the S-P-A-C-E” is the answer every time 🙄

If however one took time to fully access the endless possibilities of even the tiniest of kitchens, with a little ‘tweak’ here and a ‘shoehorn’ there, a space to fit a full size dishwasher is not a problem!

Existing kitchen cabinets can be altered (trimmed and repositioned) very easily indeed. (Not a lot of folks realise that fact?) Most kitchen units after all are just lumps of MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) that can be easily removed, cut and refitted for very little cost. New smaller door/drawer panels fitted in order to accomodate the full sized gadget!

Besides which (and a reminder, it is just my opinion here after all 😉 ) even for a family of just 2 or 3 people, a slimline (45cms) dishwasher is totally and utterly incapable of washing the dishes left over from a full 3 course Sunday lunch of pots, pans, plates, cutlery, dishes and glasses!!!!

Complete waste of kitchen space they are……….(IMHO) 👿

Do you not find that after YOUR Sunday lunch (even when the slimline is working as it should) there are still loads of things that could be put in the dishwasher BUT there’s no room left?…..

…just leave the rest ’til tomorrow morning 8)

No probs there Ken though I fail to understand your reasoning here as we are all in the same boat as independents anyway. 😕

As a point of interest and to digress slightly, I’ve been flogging Repairs@ and making great issue of it lately as well you know, yet I haven’t had a Repairs@ call for several weeks. 😯

Just take a look at all those pushpins on the UK map and I’m in the midst of all that lot, yet not one bloody call of late….!!

Deep within your machine and I seriously advise you seek professional help if you are the least bit unsure? (see below) 🙂

Re: Hotpoint Aquarius DF 61 Not Filling Every time

Very often they get gunge blocking the pipe that enters the tub from the water level device. And it needs to be cleaned out ( in both cases above I suspect). Easy job for and expert (see the link I’ve given to Repairs @ below 😉 )

andy2 wrote:Also are these disks able to be copied?

The Partfinder disk I guess you mean? Well yes, it does copy very easily and in so doing I believe the time constant in the registry file is removed for extended usage (still working on that theory – it works on TDS 😉 )

However, each disk has to be registered either by phone or Internet for activation and that’s where they have the upper hand and can charge their funny money prices for it 🙁

Years ago on TV they had regular COWBOY series. (Rawhide, Wagon Train, Bonanza, The Virginian, High Chapparal* and many others)

Oh how I miss those cowboy programmes….well at least until now and some of the exciting tips and tricks I read on here :rotl:

bobokines wrote:Can someone perhaps talk me through the procedure on a washer dryer

Hopefully you do have a TDS disk first of all, and read through the procedure OK? The only problem the Zanussi washer dryer drum repair has (for me at least) over the usual washing machine is that darned door seal 🙁

Disconnecting and reconnecting that seal from the heater ducting is the only real problem, the rest is a walk in the park (kind of 🙄 )

leavemetogetonwithit wrote:So really this is the factor IMO which makes the whole bulk buying show not worth persuing 😥

Mike, even the small ‘one man band’ trader can make ‘bulk buying’ a reality. Chris (Penguin45) and myself the typical example here. We know from experience our spares demands based on current trends OK? WE also realise that buying a batch of say ’20 off’ is far cheaper than ‘one off’. So once a month we double check or stocks on these items and reorder accordingly and take benefit from the massive discounts our wholesalers make available. 😀

So the point I’m making is that you too can benefit from bulk buying on such things as (possibly) MOTOR BRUSHES???? 💡

Exacty like the Zanussi, and as long as you lay the machine down taking the stress equation (gravity – Sir Isaac Newton and stuff) out of the frame, they are just as p*** easy to remove. 😉

It begs the question why Hotpoint came up with the idea of that “Special Tool” to remove them anyway??? 🙄
