neptune wrote:The old metalflex interlocks fitted to some older machines have a cicuit diagram printed on them . This clearly shows that with the interlock operated or locked the third or C wire is connected to neutral . Your comments?
I think that you have been in the water to long or are suffering from the ‘bends’ here (only joking by the way π ) but seriously, please elaborate on what the hell a Metaflex is? I am sure you appreciate how interlocks work and that you cannot have just one live supply and two neutrals. How will that work then?

Mike,
Do double check the state of the boards for damages especially from water leaks from the door seal or holed front drum plate. Check the water heater and motor? If all checks out OK, send both modules (Power & Programme) to Tony at EMW for him to test:-
http://emwelec.co.uk/Finally, always, but always, replace the Interlock whenever you have need to repair or replace a module (they’re cheap to replace yet cause so much grief in you don’t π )

Twoten wrote:Problem is when the orders came through the parts βneededβ were out of stock. I then had to find an alternative supplier and incur the carriage charges as well as the extra delay caused through waiting for the delivery
Twoten does have a very valid point here and is something all wholesalers really to need to address. π‘
I would have thought that by now technology would provide a clear and defining answer to stock levels. In as far as when one places an order for a whole list of spare parts, to be able then to not only be able to check the stock holding during the ‘basket filling process’ but the moment you wish to ‘checkout’ those stock levels are checked again to ensure they will be allocated the moment commit yourself to that order?
If that is not feasible then perhaps the moment the order is placed with the wholesaler, they then check the stock holding and email their customer advising of what will or will not be available???

ParticipantRe: Zanussi condenser dryer problem
d wrote:the dryer is functioning fine in that the clothes are drying but… the reservoir is no longer filling up with water
The clothes must take hours to dry then if that is the case? The float unit needs stripping out and checking as well as other componets. NOT a DIY fix and best to call in an expert here: Repairs@

Yes, often the condenser unit blocks up or the fan fails, so a bit of expert attention the best recommendation here π
Try a local independent engineer to take a look for you here :

ParticipantRe: Ariston av1247c not spinning
In almost all cases it is as a result of the motor brushes wearing out. So you need to take the motor out or get someone to do it for you, and check the carbon brushes π
YOU MUST DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY FIRST THOUGH :zap:
