Re: The UKW meeting 2005 awards.

The Kevin Heath ‘Party Tricks Scholarship’.

This accolade was voted unanimously by the panel this year to: Graeme Howard for demonstrating his skill and dexterity on the many positions and places one can put a simple drinks straw whilst seated in the bar!

    The ‘Major Motivator’ Award.

This is a brand new award category presented to the person singled out by the panel that was deemed as being the major contribitor towards the overall success of the meeting. The first recipient of this fine award goes to Andy (APG) Once word of Andy G’s Room number spread throughout the bar, everyone was ordering drinks and putting it on his room number tab! He was last to check-out on Saturday and came to the Conference Room looking somewhat bemused by it all. Well done Andy, cheers mate and well deserved! 😆

Quite correct! The Mod Kit (Part No 50272165007) includes the replacement felt and 2 plastic ‘bearings’. Demand must be very low though as no-one stocks this part? (special order status 🙁 )

Could you give us the full model number (for ID purposes) please!

Most likely the hinges are worn and the fan motor seized up?

Most likely the Motor Brushes are worn and need replacing. See http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ducts_id=1 for replacements.

…and Repairs@ for and expert to fit them for you! 🙂

    Chris,

I’m not sure totally of your description of events here 😕 As it is not unusual what you describe in as much as the flow of water through the circulating pump does fluctuated due to it (after all) being gravity fed by whats in the tub anyway 😕

If you are testing a machine that is empty of dishes, then more water is flowing about the tub anyway and will exagerate this effect. Therefore what you need to ensure is that all the pipework is clear, the water level is just lapping the salt cap and it should be OK.

I really don’t think there is a problem :con:

I think for the ‘one man operation’ it may be worth considering a stock holding of one machine? The reason I say that is very often a sale can only be finalised ‘on the spot’ or the moment you write an old machine off! (BER). Your customer being faced with a machine in her kitchen that doesn’t work will very likely go for the UKW machine as long as you hold one in stock ready for immediate delivery. Otherwise she is away to ‘the sheds’ as the “greenfield 5 day delivery” might kill the deal.

Speaking personally, I reckon if I can get 30day credit on a UKW washer to hold it in stock, I may easily be able to shift one every month!!!

(Thinks???….Mind you, I only have a fully stocked Astra Van so I have no room for a crated washing machine to deliver if I sell one….I guess I had better go to the expense of getting a trailer and trailer hook fitting for this idea to succeed 😕 )

If it helps get it off your chest John then fine. But better still, if you just reflect on the eventual outcome and instead tell all your friends about UK Whitegoods, I and my many colleagues here will be very pleased the story had a happy ending. 😀

Again in your case (like all the other similar models listed in this forum) it is very likely that part of the Control Module PCB has burnt away adjacent the Heater relay terminal.

It can be repaired simply and easily by a local independent engineer (see Repairs@)

Alternatively a new Control Unit costs £97.53 (Part No 264877 via http://www.bshappliancecare.co.uk)

No I haven’t a scooby on the part number I’m afraid. I use the 5600178 Belt fitting tool for that job anyway 8)

Re: Bosch SGS5312GB – Not pumping out?

Do check the pump first (see your instruction booklet to see how) if that’s OK then….

Very likely the main circuit board relay terminal has failed. Does the machine complete a ‘Prewash/Soak’ cycle OK?…try it and let us know 🙂

OK I will kick this off if I may 😉

I see the machine doesn’t have a Programme LED or LCD but a number of ‘Option Buttons’ which (I think?) are LED’s ? Therefore if a programme error occurs, do these lights indicate some form of error coding?
