Hoover are made by Candy and Candy are a ‘budget product’…not my choice I have to say, but their frequent breakdowns keep people like me in business so I shouldn’t fret so 8)

It very much depends on the brand you choose of course. Reading the many pages of comments within these forums will allow you to be the judge as to which make to go for 😉

    Sounds like it!

The board can be repaired via EMW Electronics (Tel 0115 9652118) Quoting Board reference no: REMCO 5036 😉

Re: Ariston AIB 16 Advantage- F-08 fault

It relates to a ‘Heating’ fault (either the Heater or the Control Module are at fault) This requires expert attention through a local independent repairer, check for one in your area via this link: Repairs@

Copies of User Instruction Booklets are available by telephoning Ariston (cost = £11 each) 🙁

    Re: 7kg washing machine?

7kg or even 9kg will NOT wash a double duvet correctly, no domestic machine can, not even the big American style top loaders. My advice is a Launderette or better still go to your local Dry Cleaner in order to wash this common household item. 😉

    Re: Is WashVac’s site down?

Well then, at the end of this month Wash Vac will be no more and their Stocklink switched off, the end of an era will be gone! 😯

Wolseley will have finally pulled the plug on what used to be a great company trading tradition and the second biggest wholesaler in the UK. 😥

Spare parts supply to the whitegoods trade will likely be as woefully inadequate as their plumbing and heating supplies department (ask any plumber about that side of their business?) Jewsons and Graham knock their ‘Build Center’ into an ‘also ran’ category. 🙁

For example, in Reading, Berkshire many plumbers buy their bits from a B&Q superstore and only venture across the street to ‘Plumb Center’ to get a cup of coffee (free vending machine) and have a chat with other plumbers. If you ask the staff for something they haven’t got in stock or it appears too costly, many of these tradesmen will tap you on the shoulder and suggest it better to shop at B&Q for plumbing stuff 😆

Parts Center will also be supplying any part for any appliance (if it can get one that is) to any member of the public via any of their depots. Fast moving spares will be supplied ‘off the shelf’ and the rest on a next day delivery to that depot.

To avoid paying delivery charges, trading account holders can pick up their orders from their local branch as and when they receive it from their distribution depot in Ripon, Yorks. Otherwise to your door as per their standard delivery charges next day. Currently orders over £60 are delivered next day for free but I suspect they will raise the bar on that pretty soon to perhaps orders over £100..? (very likely)

    As for their website……?

Chocolate and Teapot spring to mind and not worth further elaboration in my opinion……

This fault more often than not is associated with a faulty Timer Stepper Motor. Not an expensive fix and we may have a local independent in your area to sort it for you, just click on this link: Repairs@

    Could be 😕

The 2 black leads from the PCB connector go on terminals 12 & 16 on the Pressure switch.Red/Green from the Heater relay on the PCB goes to terminal 11 and the Violet/Green from the Heater goes to terminal 14.

You must also take off and clear the crud from the Pressure Chamber

Re: AEG LAVAMAT – CHANGED BRUSHES BUT STILL C9 CODE

tfcgw’s post is not quite correct as those instructions refer to starting the ‘Service Test Procedure’ and NOT a means of resetting programme error on a 72600, and is therefore not to be recommended.
