    Very nice machine Chris!

Controls on the top though, so can’t be placed under a worktop 🙁

Mid- price ranged Bosch machines are great (including their range of Tumble driers)

That’s true, just checked up on supplies myself and it has to be a complete Drum Assy at around £100 or so 🙁

You’d be better off buying a BOSCH 🙂

    Yes that’s correct!

Shorting out the electrics as Dave picked up on is a little worrying and my only thought in that regard would be a faulty Heater Unit? 😕

If it ain’t broke why mend it?

Why did you try changing the Pressure Switch if the old one was OK 😕

Re: Bosch WFF 2001 not pumping out properly

As with most WFF2001’s, after a while the pump impellor bearings wear and start to play up. Best way to tell is if there is any lateral play at all on the impellor = new pump time 🙁

Also check the internal drain outlet coupling (reservoir) as that gets crudded up easily 😉

:plug: UNPLUG THE POWER BEFORE INSPECTION :zap:

    Re: hoover washer H110M

You will need a drum bearing and seal set plus a inner drum spider assembly and a outer drum seal. 🙁

It’s a hell of a tough job to do mind you as the whole drum has to be extracted from the cabinet before you can even attempt to remove the old bearings 🙁

    Best of luck!

    Re: errors

I guess this is an Indesit machine you refer to 😕

In which case you need to count the rapid flashes (between the longer pause) to be sure of the error code ❓

Could simply be something stuck in the pump though 😉

No I haven’t come across this fault either. Before ordering a new Timer though I guess it’s best to check the full circuit back to be sure?

john guest wrote:does that identify it as “dead motor”

A Tacho Coil (on the opposite end to the pulley) should show a reading of approx 150 to 190 ohms, no reading or at least no continuity showing, then it’s got to be a faulty motor 🙁

Look closely too at the crimped connections on that motor plug as vibration often breaks the copper conductor whilst leaving the PVC sheath intact 💡

There should always be water in the water tank after a load has been completed. Therefore if it doesn’t then clearly there is a fault somewhere?

Please advise us of the full Model No and the first 2 digits of the Serial No 🙂

Re: indesit wd12 rotating selector two flashes error

I don’t have a wiring diagram for this machine but I suspect the 2 red wires you refer to go to the Tacho Coil at the end of the motor?

If that is the case and they are open circuit? Then that is the fault and a new Motor the only option 🙁

Re: hotpoint wma40s control board wiring

Sorry Blacky, I did reply to you but unfortunately the database crashed and some posts were lost yesterday 🙁

    So..here goes again…

The Live feed from the mains filter (terminal 2 Red/Green goes to Term 2 on the selector switch. The neutral on the Filter (term 1 Brown/Green) goes to term 1 on the Selector switch. The connector blocks only fit on their relevant positions, but there are 3 connectors that can be confused. The 2 Black leads from the Pressure Switch go to terminal X9. The 2 red leads from the Heater/Thermistor go to X2 and finally the Blue lead and Black lead connector block goes to X11.

That’s an excellent tip bobokines, until now whenever I have spilt rinse aid into a diswasher, the only way of clearing up was for me to throw a bowl of very hot water into the tub to rinse it out (which also works).

So the aerosol trick will be far less messy…Thanks for that !

    Re: Unsuccessful Repairs

I had one earlier this year, a Bosch WFO2865 making a knocking noise as it started to spin. I was convinced it was the L/hand Damper. I ordered a replacement and returned and fitted it a couple of days later. Trouble was that the replacement Damper was a modification job involving drilling out the locking pin and replacing the unit with a special nut and bolt type fixing.

After completing the mod, I tested the machine and bu**er me the noise was still there 😕 😯

Not a clue what was causing the knock but had to charge the customer for my time and the new damper and they were left back at square one.

    Very embarrassing 😳
