Motor problems could cause this or a failure with the Control Module, could be costly to sort 🙁

    easty,

I refers to a heating circuit fault and/or the water level sensor fault. If the water level sensor fails it could cause the heater to come on without water in the tub 😯

I would recommend getting a local engineer in to check it out for you, we may have one in your area if you click on this link: Repairs@

Re: Zanussi washing machine – drum making horrible noise

I guess it will be something caught between the front edge of the inner drum and the outer plastic drum 🙁

Due to the large gap between inner and outer drum adjacent to the grey door seal, things like nails and screws out of pockets get nicely lodged in this area. The only solution is to dismantle the machine and extract the offending item 🙁

(If you also find fine greyish plastic (almost like wood shavings) in the drain filter, that is a dead giveaway that is your problem as the drum rotates it shaves off bits off the outer drum 😯 )

But Your Lordship or may I call you Judge?”……..

….. we only replaced the door glass on the ladies gas oven and whilst I realise we’re not a CORGI registered company, someone told us it would be OK to fix it anyway

    😕
….surely we’re not liable are we?????

Very easy indeed, so much so that many manufacturers have been able to ‘lower the bar’ as it were on build specification in order to produce a working product. 😕

However quality and reliability still do go hand in hand, making the consumer the first to realise this after sampling the delights of 21st century technology 😆

One high rolling European manufacturer in the forefront of these design, production and marketing techniques is knocking them out like pizzas in a flaming oven, with a similar build quality!

    Pizza anyone ❓

Unlikely to be module trouble on this model and more likely to be gunge in the sump, bits of 3 in 1 tabs wrappers caught in top spray arm pipework. Customer not using salt regularly and causing Heater Box/Turpidary Sensor to gunge up.

Also advise using Dishwasher Cleaner every once in a while 😉

A manual for that model available only by telephoning Ariston spare parts line. The bad news is that if you want a copy you must part with £11 🙁

Re: inlet/drainage problem amateur selfdiagnosis stumpted. h

It most likely is a fault with the water inlet system (IWMS) and will involve some expense and experience to go there. Advise needs to be sought through a local agent if you click on this link: Repairs@

Not Corgi registered?…the law says you cannot touch or tamper with any gas appliance.

By “anyone” I guess you refer to us in the trade? No! Not unless you are CORGI registered you mustn’t lest you want to end up in court with the full weight of the law to answer to and your insurers turning their backs on the deal 🙁

Same fault again Dave I reckon, something in the pump and/or pump knackered anyway as it is knocking on a bit 🙁

New pump + full inspection of internal hoses for foreign bodies the only cure 😉
