So where is our man in The Antipodes?
A whole continent bereft of his ‘TLC’….Is he hiding from the Taxman?….maybe someone has figured he’s a Kiwi in Aus and cast him adrift in an open boat in Botany Bay….?
Questions…questions 😀

No problem 😀
Amazing how invisible glass is immersed in water, always a caution with dishwashers 😉

We did speak a short while ago on the telephone regarding a replacement motor for your machine. Having looked up the cost of the motor and labour charge to fit, I can confirm it will be uneconomical to proceed at a cost well in excess of £150 🙁
On a 10 year old machine it therefore is better to cut your losses and buy a new machine 😉

ParticipantRe: Essential stockholding for shopkeepers
Always consider selling a customer what they come in to buy, after all the customer is always right. If he wants a new Door Seal because the old one is dirty, sell him a new CLEAN one 😀
Then advise him they are a lot tricker to fit than to remove but for a modest fee you can send one of your engineers round to fit it.
It’s a win win situation. :lol2:
For example :Nobody walks into and out of D-C’s corner shop without buying let me tell you :rotfl:

ParticipantRe: UK Bosch wff2000 Prewash light flashing
Pump is worn and needs replacing (impellor too much lateral movement and sticks intermittently then programme defaults with Prewash light flashing)

I don’t think its either? Though the bearings in both kits will suffice the water seal is different I reckon 🙁

ParticipantRe: Error code
Bill,
Usually it indicates a ‘Configuration Error’ with the main board. I have moved your post to ‘Trade Technical Enquiries’ as that is the best forum to seek information in these circumstances. 🙂
Also if you use the ‘Search’ button and type in E90 in the Trade Technical section you will see the subject well voiced before. 😉
I hope that helps you?

Cookie,
Most likely the water level sensor is the fault. More specifically the small thin black hose from the sump to the water level switch may be blocked or more commonly, punctured 😉

ParticipantRe: Spammers
Not a good idea John as that would kill off the accessability the public enjoys using Internet Forums of this type, the whole essence being openess and availability.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi FJ1033 bearing removal
What we have here (reading the casefile over and over) is a situation where probably simply cannot extract the inner drum shaft from the bearings!
Oh Dear!…This means the state of the drum bearing/shaft are so very bad that the only solution (and a certain gentleman in Finland springs to mind right now?) is to replace not only the spider and bearings, BUT the rear tub half as well!!!
Oh yes is sounds to me like this machines bearings have been run into the ground 🙁
Best of luck trying to extract that shaft by the way 😉

ParticipantRe: Double Repair
Only last week I had a call on my mobile…. “Hello! its Sally from The Falcon Pub, we’ve broken the handle on our machine and can’t open the door, can you fix it for us?”…I told her I would pop round later that day and sort it. Called in at the Falcon during a busy luch-time period and told the barman I’d come to fix the washing machine, was instructed round the back and duly repaired the broken door. Landlord paid me from the till and away I went.
When I got home about 4pm that day, my mobile rang again…”Hello! Its Sally at The Falcon, what time do you reckon you’ll be here?” I told her to check with the landlord as I had been round 3 hours ago and fixed it. She said she was the landlord and I’d never called by…..?
Suddenly it dawned on me that I had 2 Falcon Pubs in my patch and had gone to the wrong one 😀
