Well now, as I am privy to the “Postbox” expose’ I feel it only right to let you guys know the “Stages” announced by Ken (with his permission of course?)

Stage 1: Count all the postboxes in your area.

Stage 2: Tell Ken how much red paint you want him to ship you.

Stage 3: Wire brush all the loose paint and rust from each box.

Stage 4: Slap the red paint all over it.

Stage 5: Chalkmark “WET PAINT” all around the postbox before leaving.

    Tabby,

Your drain pump is accessed by removing the Torx headed screw in the centre of the pump cover.(Lowest point under drain filters) Remove cover and check if the impellor is clear and free to rotate (Beware of broken glass, use a torchlight for closer inspection 😉 )

I ditto my colleagues (Goatboy – horrible picture of him by the way) comment, well, kind of, with a exception that the ‘sensor’ (“most expensive”)dryers in the Bosch range do warrant caution. Stick to the basic condenser in their range without the ‘bells and whistles’ 😉

A vented Bosch is best….long live the vent kit through the wall 😆

Staff recruitment quote from the Indesit Company : –

We are the third largest and fastest growing European producer within the white goods industry. Set up in 1975, we are one of the youngest of the world leaders. Having grown 20 times in the last 20 years thanks to the relentless stream of innovations. Indesit Company now has a 15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} market share in Europe. As the No. 1 major domestic appliance business in the UK we have an impressive market share of 31{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.

A household name in every sense, we’re the UK’s first choice for a range of products from washing machines and tumble dryers to cookers and refrigerators. With Hotpoint, Indesit, Creda and Cannon to our name, we not only have many years of expertise but valuable brand synergy* that sees us benefit from shared information and technology. From this solid platform, we’ve added a strong customer focus and an ongoing quest for innovation, and we now enjoy a turnover of £600 million, and growing.

We’ve achieved a great deal, but we’re not resting on our laurels. We’re introducing dynamic strategies of growth, underpinned by a commitment to quality and development, all measured against customer satisfaction. We believe that focussing upon these key issues is what keeps us ahead of the competition – and will turn a successful past into a phenominal future.

The last paragraph many of us could so easily tear apart by our many and so often, very personal experiences, of their “dynamic strategies of growth”.

“Quality and development” are not part and parcel of their “brand synergy” as the two do not ring true even to the most casual of observers. Stir in all that lot of verbal diarrhoea and it does not equal “customer satisfaction!” But hey!…..time will tell very shortly. Recently they have suffered ‘lay-offs’ so who knows what’s around the corner for them. 8)

Re: Bosch SGS55E12GB/35 mains cable too short

    Donboy,

The mains terminal block on this machine is very difficult to access, it does however simply clip into position during manufacturer but unclipping the lugs rather awkward to say the least.

If you do not fancy the hastle, then fitting a 13amp rated 3 pin permanent connector is an acceptable option (see illustration below)

    Jason,

I wonder if you could verify whether T Bailey was ever a member of DASA?? (I suspect Which have made this guy up?) However, here is a copy of the email reply I got back from the Sysop at Which today:-

    Hello Martin,

The report that you are referring to was published in May 2001 and at that time T Bailey was verified by us as member of DASA. I’m sure you will appreciate that we go through very rigorous verification processes before publishing any information and because of the standards of work by T Bailey we asked DASA to investigate the matter further

If you want further information about DASA membership or their investigation then you will have to contact DASA themselves although because of data protection laws they may not be in a position to disclose anything else to you.

    Regards,
