Emma,
I certainly appears that your problem is associated with limescale build-
up. A long hot ‘service wash’ may help, by that I mean put your machine on a 60 degree cycle with no clothes in it, half the normal amount of detergent and let it run through a wash cycle. Do that every so often to flush it through does help in these cases. Also avoid ‘quick-washes’ as often they do not fully rinse the detergent from the machine. Constant mixed fabrics cool washes is the main culprit for rapid build-up of limescale and detergent debris getting between the inner and outer drum lining.
Calgon will help break this down significantly after a short while but can often produce adverse effects by loosening great lumps of limescale into the wash drum and onto the clothes before eventually breaking up and getting caught in the drain filter! The latter effect may well be what you are experiencing???

Your machine will need dismantling completely to repair and replace the heating element spirals and thermostat. (Not an expensive repair really). I would suggest you check to see if we have a local independant repairer in your area by clicking here: Repairs@

Miele would be dissappointed if they thought their machines would’nt last 15 years or more!

Remove the drawer then clean the four holes in the dispenser cavity above the drawer. (They usually get blocked with a bacteria build-up!)

Trading Standards in Hampshire adopt the “Supply or Goods & Services Act 1982 (as amended by the Sale & supply of Goods Act 1994 and Sale of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002) covers contracts for services such as hairdressing, holidays, car repairs, double glazing and repairs to domestic appliances”
and the relevant paragraph reads:“If the goods are faulty within the first 6 months of the contract, it will be for the trader to show he is not at fault. After that time, or if the service is faulty, it is for you to solve the problem”

I also take your point Andy but I think your “case senario” is far too extreme to ever be reality. Spares failure rate has got to be extremely low and indeed your overall profit on material sales alone should cover the loss you may suffer in the long run.
Figure out your profit margins taking all factors into account and a 12 month warranty is no problem for any reputable company to adopt. And as you have discovered, is the ‘Trade Standard Terms’ these days anyway. 😀

Very true Ken…just teasing… :stir:
All Bosch/Neff/Siemens dishwashers pre 1996 will work fine using a hot water supply provided it not exceed 60 degrees Celsius (incoming supply).
Post 1996 and it is indeed COLD ONLY unless you buy a Hobart Commercial machine that is? (ASEA also allowed a hot supply to them at one time too as I recall?)

My Bosch Dishwasher is on a HOT WATER supply (GV-E750. FD6206) as has done a great job every day now for over 22 years!
As a result, I don’t hold with some of the theories muted on the subject based on my experience 🙄

Paul,
The later series of Plaset pumps now have a TOC fitted against the coils so maybe that’s what you are referring to?

Lucky blighter to have all that info on his Laptop 😥
All I’ve got is a bl**dy Partfinder CDRom that tells me there are no parts available at all for an Indesit W113UK 👿 (There are many such ‘anomolies’ on ‘Issue Four’ but I have lost interest in noting as I stumble through it)
“Live Partfinder” now, I like the sound of that idea….I want one!!

Martin
Also DWF30P has “no parts found!”

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Condensor relay?
I am puzzled by this question too?
Boy! how I wish I could afford the £15 it costs to buy a manual just so I could check the wiring diagram for myself. 👿
If only PARTFINDER (11 Issue4) had the wiring diagram included eh, then we would all have the answer to this conundrum :rotfl:

I won’t ask, but anyway, BOSCH are fine machines, buy any model ‘mid-range’ is best, nothing else comes close
