Not sure of the fan motors speed (1,000rpm maybe?) but quite fast, so if the belt is removed and it runs slower than that, that’s the fault sussed
A new one can be supplied by emailing us at spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
quoting the part number : 1248254102. 😀

My God!…I suspect so many experts are now tripping over themselves with helpful advice BUT sorry to say Ron916 but you have got the model number wrong??????????(A8608..maybe???)
Give me all the numbers listed on the plate in the porthole aperture?

It is very likely ‘the clogging’ (in our professional experience that is) is most likely due to customer misuse? *and that the Bosch engineer just cleared it for you and went on to his next call without charging you for his time. Bosch dishwashers are extremely reliable and do not suffer “Bad design” faults to my knowledge :lesson:

* Always take extreme care when removing and cleaning the fine filters. Do not use you machine as a waste disposal unit by ensuring you remove all loose food deposits from plates before loading the machine!!!

Well, well, well, that’s the first I’ve heard of this???? If that is true (as it was indeed for WMA drums) then Indesit are in for an expense, that’s for sure.
Who are you “GUEST” ??? …and Andrewk…get on the phone to Indesit..NOW!!

ParticipantRe: Which is the best electric screwdriver?
Most of those you all refer to are only as good as the battery that powers them. In my experience, unless you get several spare batteries AND ensure you discharge them fully before recharging, they are duff after about 18 months use usually, 2 years at best.
New batteries is what I need now and NOT a new drill, no matter if they fall off a friggin’ lorry either??

Could well be Kevin, browsing throughout their site shows all sorts of old out of date stuff including forum ‘posts’ dated from 1999!!
So much for Which being on the pulse of what’s going on eh?
By the way, I have taken up their “Free 30 day Trial” offer in order to get this friggin out of date bollocks :rotfl:

ParticipantRe: How do Bosch dishwashers cope with slowish fill?
A Bosch Logixx will work quite happily at pressures above 1 bar* (14p.s.i) and providing you intend connecting the new machine directly up to your mains water supply, it should be fine. But if your intention is using it ‘in-directly’ via a gravity feed or a local well water supply, then it should also work perfectly well (albeit slowly) because the fill time is NOT timed and therefore won’t need for “tweaking” in this case. The only reservation will be the effectiveness of the water softener, and in order that the ‘backwash’ function in the water softening process is not inhibited by low/slow water flow that is? If you live in a soft water area, then no probs in that regard 😀

* (The local water companies are obliged to provide at least a 1 bar rating to mains water supplies throughout the UK)

No! and Yes! in that order is my first expert answer. It is a tricky job changing the bearings and best left to us experts. Cost?….usually an independant could do it for around £100 all in maybe? It does depend on various factors of course. We have a good list of such repairers here if you would like further advice from them (click below)
