It’s a different beast altogether because, unlike its predecessor, it has a solid cabinet where everything including the condenser has to be removed out of the top!

You might want to call in that local guy I was referring to previously. 😀

The dispenser solenoid does a good job of blowing the chip!

How much extra would it cost to fit a whole new backplate anyway?

Power off, then remove the plinth and check for water lying in the base.

The all important model number can be found on the inner stainless door lining adjacent the door latch. Without it we cannot be specific as to what the fault is other than it sounds likely the base tray is flooded and the flood safety device has activated.

Please give the model number (ENR no).

Fear not Reaper Whirlpool with never dump the Indesit brand name, respected throughout Britain and Europe. An name that’s been around for more than half a century producing quantity without the need for quality. The Chinese will need to lower their sights in order to get a foothold in that action. 😉

Reed switch just unclips. And as for the pump knowing the trap being displaced, well it’s not done by mirrors but more regarding the current drain on the motor and the electronics that control it. All clever stuff indeed, but in my opinion, over engineered and a grossly unreliable machine as a result.

Let’s not forget, this is a FREE call out modification. Those customers expect the mod to be carried out for NO CHARGE. The 200 new recruits will not be able to replace frayed belts or replace those collapsed elements. A bit of improvisation might be a temptation? Lash the heater units together with insulating tape maybe?

“It was alright until he touched it!” Will echo in the ears of call centre staff in Peterborough. A proverbial whirlpool of mayhem in the coming months for sure. Good luck to anyone that takes on this challenge, rather you than me pal!

YouTube is a brilliant media tool but boy does it ever give wrong or bad advice. LG and Zanussi are two separate beasts. Access to each far different.

Lint problems on washer/dryers a major issue. 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} don’t have lint filters including Zanussi.

Currys repair service an expensive joke. Local repair guy is who you need call. Don’t start poking wire about meanwhile by the way.

It says something in the user guide about the child lock (key icon) being activated (maybe?) and to press and hold the <opc button to deactivate?

Oh don’t over complicate the basic problem with possible erroneous fault codes from button pressing.

But ED4 relates to ‘Dryer Relays Faulty’…..nope, mean neither. Disregard 😉

Access to the condenser requires a good degree of major surgery. Lots to remove inside, not for the faint hearted. It might be far better to call in a local repair person if the challenge is too great.

(Sorry but we cannot talk/type you through the various stages in order to assist otherwise) 🙁

E20 tumble dryer error refers NOT to a drain fault but indicates a fluff blockage in the condenser unit.
