Warren,
A fascinating find that’s for sure. As to it’s intrisic value on the open market these’s days it’s hard to tell 😕
I am sure Electrolux would indeed be interested although I suspect you have already been in touch with them? Several museums throughout the country do have contacts within their staff who may shed further light on your question.
One such museum local to me has a fascinating range of old domestic appliances going way back from the 19th century to the present day. Their head curator may be able to advise you ❓

Maddocks list their equivalent as Part No: 14-CR-11 but their website never shows stock level 🙁 . Worth giving them a bell though (01443 842371) if your desperate? 💡

Not listed anywhere that model, was it purchased in the UK?
However, if you give me all the numbers written on the belt I could perhaps locate it using that route?

Seamy,
Fairly straightforward job, backplate comes off with the ‘Barrel Clamp’ type fixing. If drum shaft is damaged then forget it as they are over £120 to replace but Bearing Kit readily available (Part No of genuine 481931038157 or many pattern equivalents of course).

Simon,
Indeed those heater are’nt cheap. I wonder what would be the labour charge to fit, as that isn’t an easy job?
Incidentally, I haven’t had an element go so far on that model. As Kevin suggested in most cases it is the Control Module that burns out. Can be even cheaper to fix?
Can I ask, when you ‘reset’ the programme, does it indicate ‘Zero’ on the LED, pump for 60 seconds then stop I wonder?

Customer complaint: – Dishwasher leaking & smells!
On close inspection found the machine (next to the sink and on a suspended wooded floor that was a bit suspect) was indeed leaking underneath due to an overflowing metering tank fault.
However, on pulling the machine out I discovered on the lino of the very wonky floor underneath the machine, two frogs doing breast stroke in green slimy water full of frogsporn!

Lindsay,
Also, see if you can get a copy of the User Instruction Book for your machine with this link?

Tony,
Indeed not, I was contacted by them a while back and did post the info on here for you to see.

Just another Internet Scam I reckon!
If you really have parted with your money up front as they demand, I think you may as well write it off for all the good it will do you. 😥
My advice is to get yourself your own Web site, very cheap to set up and raking in the money is a guarantee 8)

John M wrote:You mention the float chamber – where is this and how may this be accessed and checked? Also, I wasn’t aware that there was a front T/Stat. Where in the door surround is this and how may this be accessed?
John,
To ensure the float chamber is clear you simply remove the ‘user friendly’ drain plug at the back. If no water comes out, then it’s clear and should be fine 😉
The Thermostat is located on the plastic ‘drum’ surround at the front. (Sorry I typed ‘door’ earlier, but meant drum).
Pull the plug first before removing the retaining screws 😉

ParticipantRe: TV630 Thermostat
Alistair,
The thermostat you are looking for is located in the plastic round entry aperture to the drum. Accessible from the front it is Part No: 28382089. Cost about £10 and available via our “Shop@”

You didn’t confirm my earlier assumption John, a possible answer to your question perhaps?
martin wrote:I am assuming the water reservior empty and you have drained off any excess water in the Float Chamber as that will cut off the supply to the heater if flooded? It is rare for the Element to be at fault!
Worth a check I reckon 😉 Also the Front Thermostat in the Door Surround another possible 🙂

Sean,
Let me reassure you that helping out Joe Public on this site, is not and will not be regarded as a liability for you or anyone else for that matter. On the contrary, unless the likes of you and I do put in our expert advice and opinions, the purpose of the site would be meaningless.
Let me put it another way, Trade meets public, public asks questions, trade advises, public is attracted by the wealth of information and free advice given, trade makes money from those members of the public who want more from such advisors, whether it be in supplying a spare part, making a service call or indeed buying new equipment. How does that work?….simply by more and more input from us all. Sifting out the wheat from the chaff in order to make something out of our labours.
Back then to the issue of liability for a moment, and to elaborate slightly on Kens comment. We as Moderators have to sift through all this “24/7” stuff and make a decision as to what is acceptable and what isn’t, what can be a high technical risk area and what’s not. That’s all we need to do to see this as a growth industry of information and rewards for all in due course.
Libel is a minefield with no level ground, that is true but I honestly believe in what is, here after all a well controlled environment, there’s really no risk factor to consider, and if there was, one of us will surely delete it 😆
….Go for it Sean! 🙂
