Control Board microprocessing!
It uses the same detection for wash load as it does for spin in as much as the ‘OOB detection system’ is used on wash to determine the weight of load.
With ‘small’ loads after the pressure switch has set at 6 litres and the tumble/soak process begins very little ‘extra’ water is added as the microprocessor has ‘detected’ a light load 8)
Many manufacturers these days incorporate this feature within their electronic circuit boards. The importance of the motor being in good working order is paramount because if it isn’t, very often when the Control Module ‘blows’ the Motor is the guilty party. For some reason very few manufacturers incorporate a fuseable link between the two.
So rule of thumb for any service engineer has to be: –
“If the Module is burnt to a crisp, at motor to your list!” 😆 😆

I should ‘double check’ the left hand T/stat again as I too am certain that is the fault 😕
I am assuming the water reservior empty and you have drained off any excess water in the Float Chamber as that will cut off the supply to the heater if flooded? It is rare for the Element to be at fault!

What time are we all going to turn up then ❓

He has you know, having posted a comment in ‘Trade Technical’ last Thursday!

This is where we have to keep a close eye on the public forums and possibly pm anyone that may be a little ‘over enthusiastic’ with their Public advice 😉 (that’s me calling the kettle black by the way 😳 as I told someone how to rewire the TOC’s on their dryer, successfully as it happens, the other day 😳 )

ParticipantRe: Electra AWM1100B Washer fault
2 possible reasons, It could be the Capacitor or the Control Module causing this fault 😉

To be honest unless you can get a refund from whoever sold it you, at this stage it’s best not to get too involved. It will be expensive to fix without doubt 🙁

Yes you would using a ‘Thru the wall vent kit’ and flexi vent hose between the two 🙂

Jack,
Sadly there is no such thing as a ‘standard knob’ I’m afraid. They are all very different for the most part. The model number will almost certainly be on the ‘Rating Plate’ sited usually on the front door frame ❓
Without that number we are stumped. However if you have an old knob as a sample, maybe a local spares supplier can supply something similar 😉

ParticipantRe: Creda Tumble Dryer 37748E – No Heat!
Trev,
The most likely problem is the the Thermostat Kit (Part No: 1701557 and available at our “shop@”) has blown. Usually due to users turning the machine off BEFORE the last 10 minute ‘Cool-Down’ part of the cycle. 😥
That blows the thermostats every time 🙁

Sean,
Pose the question in TWR I would say. As it doesn’t affect me and Chris, it’s best suited to ask a wider audience without ‘going public!’ 😉
