ParticipantRe: LCD TV for the van
You notice Lawrence has avoided telling us what’s going on in his van. 😯
On second thoughts we’d rather not know 😆
Avatar colour?…ask me nicely and I might 🙄

AK,
Overloading for the most part will cause suspension problems 🙁
Make sure the ‘friction pads’ are fully located in their sockets and that the drain pump is clear and able to discharge the water without any restrictions (waste hose couplings blocked etc).

I’ll check the wiring diagram and get back to you tomorrow on this one 😉

Simon,
First one is a duff interlock thats blown the timer/module unit.
Second one is likely the motor plug connector (tacho leads) I would think 😕
Hope that helps 🙂

Tony,
I think it is an old Indesit/Ariston name they used? I suggest you measure the grill ele and get a pattern equivalent. Look towards the Indesit or Ariston types 😉

Thanks Dave, yes a GDA branded appliance (no wonder it didn’t show on the database as they are not labelled as Hotpoint usually).
Leaks on those machines are associated with internal blockages and not too costly to sort. As Dave suggests, go into our “Directories” section and put up your postcode with the independant agent listing to get it sorted 😉

I was always puzzled as to why Lawrence’s van (on his Avatar that is 😉 ) appears parked yet seen as ‘bouncing’?
Perhaps he is busy installing an LCD TV as well 😆

Babylonian,
So far at least I am mystified over the model number you have given as it is not listed on Hotpoints information database 😕
Is this a UK sold brand? are you here in the UK? or maybe in Babylon (Iraq)???……….dunno ❓

The controls for each hotplate probably share the same live supply? Only a full check with an insulation tester will therefore locate the source. Time to get an expert in to check it for you 😉

ParticipantRe: indesit wg1130t
Yes the module is suspect in this case (or the module connections…do burn out sometimes 😉 )
Not expensive to get repaired either!

ParticipantRe: indesit wg1130t
Try to see if it will wash again? Because I suspect the motor no longer turns at all. A quick check and you may confirm my suspicions 😉
Now if I’m right, then it’s likely the Motor Brushes are worn and need an expert in to replace them (it’s not too costly a job).

Ah! I see, I wondered why I couldn’t figure out the model number, probably unique to Australia? However we do use those brushes too over here and they are known to us in the trade as the much loved “L Type Brushes” 🙂
Thanks for the info
Martin
P.S. I’ve moved the topic (appropriately) to the Australasian Forum now!

ParticipantRe: Ariston Margherita 2000 – 8 flashes
Mandy,
Probably due to Heater Relay on the main Control Module Board type problem (very common on these machines 🙁 ) Expensive to fix due to replacement component cost I’m afraid.
If your machine has an extended warranty I recommend getting it looked at by the relevant service agents 😉 I fear it will cause all the programmes problems in the near furture 🙄
