    Re: Bosch Max WFL2800 Boiling

    Kirk,

First of all I’m a bit puzzled with the model number as I and Bosch do not recognise it ❓

Secondly, on any of the later Bosch/Siemens range one cannot fill a machine on 90degrees then switch to 40 without first ‘resetting’ the programmer. If you did such a thing it would simply continue with the first option selected, namely a 90 deg cycle 🙁

Finally, replacing the heater/ntc assy was a good move and should have cured the fault but that’s only assuming the NTC plug/lead terminals to the Module were in order? It is (IMHO) not a known module fault, but who knows maybe with the lady screwing up the programme, anything is possible 😯

Did you check the air pressure chamber when you changed the heater I wonder ❗

    Dave,

Shouldn’t you post the link in the ‘Public Forum’ as well?

    Wet floor,

First the good news….Motor Brushes ARE available for your old machine 🙂

Now the bad….there are several ‘different makes’ of motors fitted to that model (i.e. Selni,Zem,Indesco,Ceset and I.B.Mei + variants within those too) 🙁

The best option is to take a brush unit out and take it to your local spares supplier for an exact match ‘over the counter’ so to speak 😉 OR take a snapshot of it and email me a picture for ident and supply

    Washerdoctor,

You didn’t divulge the model number, which as you know is vital for full and frank assessment :lesson: However, on most recent models within the range they do have s-t-r-e-t-c-h belts fitted and unless you fit a stretch direct replacement (e.g. 264987) then it will fail pretty quickly, derail and strip 😉

Why did the pump burn out I wonder? Was it that the sump is blocked, ‘cos if the sump hose is blocked it will affect the air bell to pressure switch? ..thus no fill and go into default 💡

Got to be trouble in that department I would say 😉

    Best of luck!

Yeah the belt does often catapult off during start-up, I agree. But a much cheaper fix would have been for them to simply make both pulleys with deeper grooves, to stop them ‘derailing’ 😉

    Lucy,

As Dave intimated it is most likely the Motor Brushes have worn after 3 years useage 😉 . Easy and relatively cheap to get sorted no problem if you get a local independant engineer in to fix it 🙂

    Andrew,

I think it may be tricky for you but anyway, the part number you need for the new seal is : C00064545. It may well be available via out “shop@” site in the navigation bar?

Any problems I suggest getting a local independant engineer to do it for you 🙂

Re: Indesit WE 16 UK Door Seal replacement

    Andrew,

It’s not too difficult a job really and can be accessed from the top. (Pull the plug first though) There are a couple of different seals that fit that model so the serial number can decide which 😉
