You shouldn’t need to re-register Dave, just give them a bell for them to investigate 😉

To be honest I don’t know if your model of machine should actually do a reverse tumble during the dry cycle? Usually as Dave says, they do normally but if yours doesn’t, then I wouldn’t worry too much at this stage.
If however it is a problem then get back to us and we will investigate for you 🙂

Would be interested in how you cope then in getting the information you need? Surely you do a lot of Merloni/Hotpoint/Indesit/Creda etc etc work don’t you?

P.S The folks at Merloni are reading this with interest too by the way 😉

Richard,
Nice post and thanks for that!
Ever since I joined UKW, I too (and many others here as well) have been dripping on about this very situation. The message is clear for even a blind man to see, we in this trade do indeed need to unite
“95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}” you say, I would be happy with just 51{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, that way we are and should be regarded as a ONE VOICE MAJORITY 🙂
To my mind the only way to achieve that currently, is for more and more of us to join UKW, and to spread the word about UKW to your colleagues and associates. Once we all do that and they then realise the potential, then we will increase the numbers daily towards that ultimate goal. Time will tell and the good news I reckon is that it won’t be long either 🙂

Sorry Cleat no idea of the value of the TOC on the element itself 🙁
But HOLD UP for a minute, you say it keeps blowing the Microtemp ❓ Then it must be getting bl**dy hot around there ❗ Have you checked the fan chamber, condensor and ducting is giving good air flow to the element in the first place ❓
I would suspect an air flow problem you got there mate 🙂

That won’t work as the disk info goes into your computers ‘registry’ file. And don’t go there, trust me, better stump up for a new disk like the rest of us 🙁
(The fact is that we need Merloni to give us this info AND more would be even better for the price 👿 )
🙁 🙁

Yep! Condensor unit blocked with fluff and/or the water supply to it or through it is also at fault. 😉
Get a local independant expert in to take a look (many are listed in our “Directories” section)

Just pull the drawer right out and clean the ‘syphon tube’ within the conditioner compartment thoroughly. Clean the inlet nozzles also inside the dispenser cavity before putting the drawer back.
That should do it 🙂

ParticipantRe: Indesit WE 165
Ray,
I think you may be referring to an Indesit W16SUK ? Being the silver version of the W16UK.
The error usually means trouble with the Heater relay on the circuit board and/or the heater as well 🙁
Could well be an expensive fix required I’m afraid 🙁

ParticipantRe: Philco fridge door seal
Sadly serial numbers tell us nothing without the model number I’m afraid 🙁
There are only 4 Philco Fridges listed here in the UK and their model numbers are : FR153, FR160,PC150 and PP150 respectively. The numbers are located inside in the area of the Salad Drawer 😉
If you are outside the UK, then we cannot help you 🙁

I speak from experience to know what wrath and havoc these guys here in TWR can wreak 😆 But ultimately they all know as I do that each and every one of us here are here for the good of the trade, to help each other and for the greater benefit of UKW. 8)
Enjoy!

ParticipantRe: Online Jukebox
iTunes has increased in popularity so much in recent months that its library has trebled in size. 😆
ITunes is by far the best way to download decent music from all categories and at a fraction of High street prices. The best part of it for me I reckon is that I can download loads of tracks then burn them onto a CD AND print a CD label that includes ALL the titles I have selected AND a picture of the albums from which each track comes from…..Bl**dy brilliant 🙂

ParticipantRe: Ariston Built in Oven Mod071085
Bassman
This is a bit weird as on ‘Partfinder’ Ariston only list a Model No: 017085 as the likely model?? 😕
Now when I search on that model it refers me to Model No: 317(SS) The ‘SS’ bit being Stainless Steel and it illustrates a two door fan oven. (Grill above) that shows the main oven innerglass door as Part No C00156709 Glass Panel 18.5 inches wide that retails at £56.92 + VAT. 😯
Now is that the model you need and is it a stainless steel job or have Partfinder cocked it up again I wonder??? 😕 😕

The fan element has failed and and a replacement element will be required. Please email or PM Dave Conway on this site who can advise/supply 😉
