    Re: Remote Engineers

Sounds good, but are the collection centres really just 10 to 15 mins away for most of the ‘remote’ guys here in the UK?

To put it mildly I’m sure 😯

…and a sad and costly lesson to learn for all employers. Perhaps also highlighting a need to put a few additional clauses in an employees work contract 😉

Not necessarily Simon, but it is always a good idea to run test the new brushes under load. (Ask your customer for a couple of bath towels and try a rinse and spin) That will bed them in nicely too 🙂 No point either in changing brushes if you have an armature with any insulation reading below 20megohms 🙄

Also remind your customer to give the machine a bit of a break between washes of about 10 minutes. That tip alone will cool things down and prevent recalls 😉

    Tony,

Well I will give you 10 out of 10 so far for trying 🙂

Its got to be a connection to tacho problem surely 😕 Those motor plug connectors (the crimped jobs) are very suspect at this stage I reckon 💡 But I’m sure you must have given them a good tug whilst it was tumbling normally, if not, try just that 😉

You’ve changed the Timer/Module Unit and Motor to no effect so it has to be a connection between the two….hopefully

    Fingers crossed for you 🙂

Exactly that reason Dave 😉 Could possibly even be another ‘clone’ from someone else’s stable 😕

    Tony,

The armature is duff mate (drawing too much current) and I expect if you megger/metrohm across the commutator it will have poor insulation readings too 🙁

Check the pump/sump trap too as a matter of course, but my guess is closer to home 😉

    Toni,

When a programme is selected and you press the start button, the first thing the machine should do is PUMP. It is normally energised for 5 seconds and then the machine should fill. Do check the pump out, it may be your trouble and the micro processor is going into error mode as a result. 😉

You can also perform a ‘Last Error Detected’ interrogation on those machines but that takes some explaining really and possibly I could help you on that if your stuck 🙂

    Best of luck
