I will have a scan and get back to you beforehand!

No no Dave,
What I meant by that was, (and I have bugger all knowledge of Diplomats so this may be irrelavant) but to post those ‘Error Codes’ that are given in ‘The User Guide’ (assuming owners of Diplomats have such things?? – Hotpoints and Bosch etc do!) “Shut Door”, “Switch On”, “Filter Check” that sort of stuff. Not technical i.e. “PRC Time Out” “Fill Time Out” etc etc
Just for Joe Public to see and ease off the postings to find out fundimental stuff that’s all 😉

P.S May have to move this post from ‘Error Codes’ now into Trade Tech Enquiries though OK?

This is possibly a tricky one to sort Toni 😉 only in as much as it (as you probably know) has a complete s/steel tub/drum assy that cannot be sorted but can only be replaced. 🙁 2 thoughts spring to mind here, The inner drum spigot has cracked 😕 or the inner drum is twisted?
Dunno mate other than that 😕

A ‘tidy up’ in places as it is a bit messy in parts for ‘Guests’ to view!
Diplomat error codes placing in the customer/visitor area to prevent the endless stream of queries day in day out!
I think the ‘spare parts’ enquiries to be a major money spinner for UKW as most that view want to DIY 😉 😉
Fine tuning the key word here I reckon 😉

I will just go for the “Hand Held Computer & Technical Support” and to hell with the job 😉
Wonder if they do Gas training as well though for 16.2K????

My epistle writing days are over Alex, you see before you now a ‘Moderator’ in every way, and hopefully many will benefit from my dedication to UKW 😉

ParticipantRe: Ariston Margherita AWD12
A fault with the main electronic circuit board (Module) is the most likely fault. 🙁 Try ‘Resetting’ the programme a couple of times (i.e. Press and hold the start button for up to 5 seconds) in the hope it clears 🙂

Good Heavens!
Yes I remember the 3226 transit bars 🙁 Orangey Brown, one across the back of the drum the other along the side…crickey, two ‘ old codgers together’ 😆
I had a similar one, this time a Bendix LTA where they never removed the transit straps. 😥 Someone placed bolts and brackets and fixed them to the ‘enamelled’ side panels and through the wall of a ‘perfabricated EX WW2 bungalow’ and the whole side of the house fell away!

ParticipantRe: Indesit WD10 problems
Furhan,
I think it is almost certainly a connection problem to the main Module ❓
Resetting will usually cure minor hiccups in the programme eprom but unless the connections are good to it, it cannot respond 😉 Take off all the module plugs and refit them and try again. Beyond that Merlonielectrowhatshisname will have to step in and get it sorted under guarantee 😉

Dave,
Thanks for sharing that with us and your story bares out most if not all of the comments on this thread 😉

Brilliant piece of engineering too, with thousands still operating faultlessly. Bosch V449 and V454 to name but 2. The motor has even got an in-built thermal trip so it is very unlikely you will find one ‘burnt-out 🙂

ParticipantRe: The UKW Subscriber Forum
Those ‘Field Service Engineers’ amongst us that have not yet considered subscribing to our group, can I urge you to do so 🙂 As Ken says “It is not a Kings ransom” to be part of it, but the benefits will be all apparent in the months ahead. 🙂
Give UKW your support and be ‘Better Informed’ as a result 😉

P.S. Do read Kens posting on the previous page first OK!
