This is possible across a range of things that relate directly to our businesses and hopefully reduce our operating costs as a group, even if they do not it should give funding to some degree to UKW to provide more services. Each service will be a layer and you will have the option to opt in or out at any time dependent on the deal of course with the supplier, but that’s normal for anything in the ways that I have in mind. 😉
The concept is that you don’t pay for something you don’t want or need and simply choose the things that benefit you or the business.K.
Ken,
I hope I am not putting you on the spot here or even stepping out of line, but I wonder if you could clarify the idea of funding a little more specifically. I am slightly confused here? Is this an extension to what was already agreed to at the last UKW Meeting regarding funding?
Then (and I quote from the minutes of that meeting) it was “A seperate “Paid Members” forum would be set up for use by UKW members that requested assistance and/or use of the funds. The funds could also be utilised to fund meetings etc and we would remain flexible in their use for different projects”.
What other than that do you envisage here?

Little to go on here GaryD,
Without taking it out and checking throughout, it could simply be anything? Clearly you need the experts in to advise after inspection. The symptoms you describe are too vague to figure a likely cause I’m afraid!

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AWZ410 Washer dryer
Thanks dave,
It would be a nice reference point for us to have a weblink/contact address for these companies. I recall months back e-mailing John at HJM (who don’t have a website by the way) and never got a reply to my request for them to register their interest in this site!
Probably making too much money soldering new resistors on module boards anyhow to bother!

Yes I think it must be a duff Module, but don’t worry about ordering it at this stage as my customer is dithering anyway!
Go for the armatures though! Thanks!

I was a member donkeys years ago, they do a good job I must say. There was little in it for me though, so I stopped paying up.

These Trade Affiliations sure know what to charge eh? and for what? It gains little if no respect by the people/customers you are trying to attract in the first place. £400 for a logo that means nothing and does likewise.
I wonder, oldlonely, if your local Trading Standards runs a scheme in your area similar to the scheme I mention under the thread “Local Trading Standards Authority?”

Correction! Peggy from Maddocks just phoned to say, “Unfortunately, Hotpoint tell us these Armatures are obsolete, so we cannot supply you!”
You are also correct about their website, it is a bit…eer……WELSH!

Their Internet site is fine and you should be able to get it going. The benefit is that shopping is slightly cheaper from them via the Internet. Peggy is no expert unfortunately, but could put you through to their IT bloke for them to help get you on line.
Their 1603071 armatures are still in stock at £25.04 (or barter for 2 Welsh Lambs and a bunch of Daffs!)

Sound advice indeed, I take your point 😉 There’s too much ugliness in this world already ❓

I think the likes of MS Messenger is the better option and you can talk live and include video conferencing as well, without screwing up the phone line!
