Wherever you have connections to high current consuming devices the terminal connectors can become loose, overheat and burn. Leading to the effect that sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t.

It’s fairly straightforward.

It can only be either a faulty oven timer OR the connections to it are dodgy.

It’s the capacitor that is the issue. And yes the fault you have may well be associated. Get Beko in to sort it.

In order to extract heat from the interior a degree of warmth to the exterior will be evident. I see no reason for alarm at this point. How long have you had the unit anyway?

Err…..I hate to disappoint you guys but this one is a non-starter. A lot has happened since the OP posted. 🙁

ParticipantRe: Hope you can help me out.
E:26 refers to a fault with the water switch (diverted valve). A bit of a random error and the pump blockage only compounds confusion in this case. So not quite clear at what point you are stuck here? But if it is not filling then the reed switch is very suspect for starters. Perhaps a further up-date from you would help figure out your problem? Here from my lofty perch on my high castle turret it’s hard to see. 😉

Correct! And likely as not the fan oven element (behind the removable the back wall lining) will be at fault.

Not really, what you refer to is back to the days of the old style ‘stacking kit’ type installations. Where a metal plate was covered under the stacked dryer. Virtually nothing of the sort is available these days short of buying a 10 gauge sheet of aluminium and cutting it to size. Or the cheapskate, less safe version, a sheet of 3 ply.

This is going to end up badly I fear, especially when eBay secondhand spares are involved.
Do let us know the result all the same

The base tray ( underneath the dishwasher) is flooded and the flood safety switch has operated. The base needs draining of water and the reasons for the leak need to be established.
Using a dishwasher overnight has to be a big no no TBH. Thank goodness your machine has an anti-flood system otherwise you may have come downstairs in the morning to find the whole ground floor flooded???? 😉

It’s always possible you knocked a wire off during the belt change procedure? Though you might like to check that the red reset button on the overheat safety stat hasn’t tripped? 💡
