Just replace it. It simply lifts out. A 30 second fix. Part number 00165262

    Re: Door seals for Bosch/siemens

Bosch/Siemens use the same part number system and are cross referenced. So I can only imagine the seal you fitted was similar but not the same.

E10 means the water inlet valve needs replacing. A faulty dryer heater may well be the cause of the stopping fault (element having an earth leak).

Readings vary from 19.5kohm @25c to 1.7kohm @95c so your readings seem close enough.

The part you need is included in the control PCB (00494201)

Re: Hoover PE235 drum obstruction – how do I remove a paddle

Removing the paddle will not give you access unfortunately. Almost certainly a sock or pair of drawers caught in there. If you place the lens of a torch through the holes you may be able to locate it and use a small screwdriver to drag it toward the heater aperture.

It doesn’t full with much water at all on the wash cycle. With clothes in the machine you barely notice any water. That is quite normal.

A simple enough job if you have the tools and have mechanical/electrical experience.

It is not and expensive option getting a local firm in either.

Heater duff. 90 degs with a jacket of limescale blew the integral thermal fuse.

The trade is well aware that doing a 90 degs wash (a.k.a, a Service Wash) will most likely bugger the element under these conditions. It’s good for the sale of new heaters don’t you know. 😉

I get your point Ken. I’m sure W10 is the best thing since bread was sold sliced. And the clock is ticking as far as the usability of W7 is concerned. But free W10 downloads is a Microsoft lemmings test bed and these guys fall for it hook line and sinker. Madness…!

Just recently I recall the grief iOS8 caused many who looked before leaping. The grief many lemmings endured at the time was all too typical of the way free software is put out for testing.

It’ll be fun hearing about all the grief users of W10 will soon be faced with.

By “test cycle” I assume you mean just running a short programme? Have you tried switching off the Intensive Drying as per the user booklet and my very helpful instructions 😉

“If it ain’t broke why mend it?” I’ll stick with Windows 7. Unless Windows 10 can give me the winning Euromillions numbers, tell me the exact weather forecast for next Saturday, respond to my commands better than Siri and auto-fix other computer issues without the need to inform me ‘there’s a problem Houston’. I’ll just stick with Windows 7.

Re: Bosch SMV53M00GB Dishwasher Test Cycle what does H mean?

‘H’ refers to the ‘Intensive Drying’ (see page 17 of user instruction booklet). You can switch it off by pressing the button to the left of the display panel. Intensive drying ON shows up ‘d:01’ Intensive drying OFF shows up ‘d:00’. Press the Start button and close the door to set the value into memory.
