Nearest I can locate on the list is a WXL167AUK/16.
Not filling or spinning would indicate that the machine ‘thinks’ it is full of water, when in fact it isn’t. So perhaps clothing has got between the inner drum and outer tub and blocked the ball valve area of the tub to pump hose? You mentioned it was clear but did you actually check the ball valve part attached to the tub?
A consequence of the above getting blocked, not filling/spinning etc, is that the heater comes on when it shouldn’t burning it out. So the heater needs checking whilst you’re at it.( Ease of access via metal front panel complete removal)
Have fun! Seasons Greetings!

I seem to recall I had one once, long long ago, where the jug was faulty but it overfilled on test afterwards. I reset it after a couple of fill cycles then it was OK after that.
Try it, it might like it? Happy Christmas!!

…….and judging by the example of the previous washload you showed us it would have been necessary to press this button. Though sadly if you did then instead of 2 capfuls it would be more like 2 bucket loads of water will p!ss out!!
No bodges in here please, you asked for our advice,do the right thing, replace the seal….sorted!! 😀

We need the full model number (ENr number) as there 100’s of different Siemens. But from the symptoms you gave the motor brushes may be at fault and/or the water level sensor could be blocked.
Start first by giving us that vital number please.

Hmm? Yes, might have to ponder this a while. The impeller jug and control unit work together to establish the water level based on time (i.e litres per min) so it is pre-set and cannot be adjusted. I doubt you have fitted the jug the wrong way round but worth asking all the same. Also the connection between could be suspect?

The float chamber under the fill matrix needs stripping and cleaning, including the tub transfer pipe.

As your machine is included in the Hotpoint Safety Recall can you firstly confirm that is has been completed?
If NOT click the link below for further info….

Check the inverter

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher module
The model number you gave has a control module (part no 00490049) that does NOT need ‘coding’. The instructions included with the part refer to a mod relating to Sicasym. You can ignore that completely as it is not relevant.
As for it taking longer, that may be a separate issue. Perhaps it’s not heating or there’s a fill problem?
Can I ask why you changed the control module?

It’s usually the voltage rectifier circuit and beyond the powers of most to repair. New control unit 🙁

The most likely reason is that the top basket is not located correctly in its runners. Or that the wheels have worn allowing the basket to sit lower than it should.

If it’s a brush motor then it’s a tacho fault. Induction motor it’s the inverter you need to look at.
