Just curious to know how you were aware of the crack before the PAT test? Did you set up a ‘sting’ to catch out this PAT tester? Watchdog back room TV covert Rogue Trader set-up?

Ditto all my colleague has said. The article link he provided gives you all the information you need to realise when placing a dryer in an unheated environment, like a shed, outbuilding or garage.

We cannot emphasise the point more strongly about the dangers of operating electrical appliance in places where the ambient temperature falls to 6 degrees C (the dewpoint) or below.

Enough said on that and to answer your question then (for example) the White Knight 42AW has a bi-metal thermostat (as opposed to a NTC) and therefore will still operate under these conditions.

    Ah! 💡

I could be the thermal trip (inside the pump windings) operating. When it gets hot it stops but when cool it works. Solution : New drain pump.

Probably heater fault? Not used on short cycle.

I’m pretty sure it is a drum out job and you will need not only a new lifter but the triangular bracket and possibly a new bolt to fit in that bracket. A fun job for you Christmas Eve it’s looking like. 🙁

Carl may I ask, and for the benefit of interested observers, that your use of the term “we” refers to your own business rather than replying on behalf of ISE Ltd?
