The symptoms do indicate that the pump is worn out. Works one minute, judders the next. 😉

What even on the back panel?

Anyway there are only 3 and they are pretty much identical….

    WFD2471GB/01
    WFD2471GB/08
    WFD2471GB/10

It has to be coin damage. Are there dents in the drum I wonder?

I fail to see the point of wanting to connect to your washing machine remotely by Wi-fi. The electronics on these appliances are flaky at best. The power supplies simply keeping them ‘on standby’ often means the PCB’s overheat and fail in no short order. But the main concern is they are an open door to cyber crime. The stuff of science fiction to many but a real and common danger. Allowing criminals free access to all your passwords, bank accounts and even listening to your every word via Alexa type devices, web cams and CCTV. And all because you wanted a washing machine you could switch on and off whilst sunning yourself on a beach on the Costa’s. Totally totally pointless.

    But, I digress 😉

Bosch are good, doesn’t hold a candle to Miele though. Just saying ! 😀

No it’s the wires that connect to each heater terminal. The heater is enclosed in the long metal box on top of the drum. (See previous post in the subject 😉 )

Often that is symptomatic of the ‘Control Module’ (part no: 00641159) failure. 🙁

That being so it’s even more remarkable the OP’s machine still rubbles on. Likely to explode any time soon then would you not think?

You’ve got to give credit to Indesit for producing such an effective product at such a low price point. And yet for it to have more than 5yrs lifespan is an incredible feat given its seemingly poor overall build quality. A plus for the sealed drum unit I’d say given that on their earlier models the drums exploded and brought untold misery to many as a result.

Interesting point about reverse tumble dryers, I don’t know of any that do TBH. My Bosch tumble dryer is a pain in the ar&e when it comes to drying a double duvet cover. Just puts it in knots and renders it impossible to dry. Aside from duvet covers everything else dries fine.

ISE tumble dryers last forever (apparently) so I’m sure it’s just a minor fault Jim. Was she trying to dry a double duvet cover by any chance?
