Mary, the link you gave was to a North American website and not entirely relevant to UK models. Especially so as in THIS thread the E15 error is caused by a leaky tub seal. A common failing toward all Bosch, Neff and Siemens dishwashers with a plastic tub. 🙁

    Re: How many repairs

For non D&G the average failure time is around 18 months from new. Average repairs is just 2 on the lifetime of a machine. By the time the machine reaches 4.5 yrs the user makes that all important BER decision and a 3rd call-out very unlikely.

I’ve no clue about D&G repairs but guess as they get a healthy premium from each might just tolerate a 3rd repair if it’s just a minor fix 😕

Apply a little heat from a blowtorch first to dissolve the Nutlok fluid applied to the screw on install. Then unscrew anti/clockwise (conventional thread). 😀

Both motors are Hoover made. SD14 will fit either I would think as they are both the same size. The later SD22 type motor may need that vital tail connection though. Any idea of the model number?

Re: Neff S51M63X1GB constantly cutting out

I think you’d best observe the fill/drain matrix (aka Heat Exchanger in Neff speak) to determine when the drain pump operates in relation to when it fills. Both are linked via the flow control device integral to the heat exchanger (impeller wheel operating a reed switch). After time those impeller wheels stick causing all sorts of program errors. The only cure is to replace the whole heat exchanger unit. Often too the little reed switch unit fails (very common).

Also it is worth noting that the drain pump is controlled by the main control board. It’s a DC motor that the board senses any power fluctuations (ie free flowing or blocked) and turns the pump on and off if it senses that it could be blocked.

Normally when any of the above fails or plays up the main board issues an error code. The fact that the board seemily shuts down and fires back up randomly without any such error codes is quite odd and not something I have come across before. 😕

Let’s try to eliminate the drain from being a potential problem.

Has the drain hose been extended at all?
Does it connect to a drain spigot under the sink?
Is that spigot coupling free of fat build-up?

Sod any reference to the UK. The manufacturers fixed it under the terms of warranty. 3 months later it is BER. It is well out of your responsibility as the original retailer. Don’t lose any sleep over it.

New machine? Is it used commercially then John so the 2yr guarantee isn’t valid?

Could be a costly inverter failure by the sounds. 🙁
