Try resetting the program. To do that, press the On button then simultaneously press the 2nd & 4th program buttons. Close the door and the machine should drain for 1 minute then switch itself off. Open the door and then try selecting another program. Fingers crossed!!

Certainly you will need to check if the electronic programme circuit board has been damaged (it sounds as though it has). Then locate the component that caused it to blow ( i.e. Motor, Heater, Pump etc).

Good luck but be safe and unplug from the mains first 🙂

It could be then that the dryer control is at fault. It switches on the neutral side so that would explain you getting 230 to the heater and stats.

Re: Candy Smart touch washing machine series – any good?

As I mentioned earlier they will sell like hot cakes. Any excuse to add an app to your smartphone. With Candy you can:
    Have smart check-up
    Optimise your washing habits
Voice assistant, smart cycles and so much more. Even add 40 extra programmes. Set it to finish when you want it to.
Oh yes, we’ll all want NFC stuff. Soon if it doesn’t have it they won’t buy it. 😉

One small step for man, one giant leap into the future….

…..but rest assured they will sell like hot cakes AND, and any weaknesses will keep the repair trade occupied.

Very common problem with these machines and loads of posts on the subject. Now if there is a water supply issue ( i.e. insufficient water flowing through pump) the element will quickly overheat and fuse. So the water diverter could be at fault or the heater relay on the power board stuck on, take your pick. 🙁

    E:04 is one of 5 errors (incl. E:01, E:02, E:03 & E:05) that refers to a faulty power module. 🙁

Hot ‘n steamy got to be either no water flowing through the condenser or the condenser itself blocked with fluff. Tricky to access but OK once you fiddle getting the fan motor off.

Change the smaller of the two pressure switches as that is the one more likely to fail. 😉

    Re: ZWD1271W

It will fill with far less water when no clothes are in the drum. The amount of water it fills with are directly related to the level of load.
The problem you are experiencing is NOT that it isn’t filling with sufficient water but more likely that the circulation wash pump is not pumping water into the drum. The usual reason is that the water nozzle/hose that pumps water into the drum from the top of the door seal is blocked with gunge so no water is circulated through the clothing as it tumbles.

To check that simply observe through the door glass for the cascade of water emiting onto the clothing as it tumbles. Can’t see any water? then it is a blockage needing investigation. 😉

    Re: ZWD1271W

Can I just ask, how do you know the level of water being as there must be clothing in the drum at the time AND the door is locked? With clothes in the drum you wouldn’t see any water at all in there normally.
