ParticipantI’ve got a non-English service manual but there’s an English labelled wiring diagram in it:

ParticipantYeah, just wondered if the PS was playing up thinking it was empty it might no fire the pump up.

ParticipantWasn’t it these machines that sometimes needed pressure switches recalibrating after a blockage? Something like a couple of litres of water added to the drum with it power off then turned on and set to drain.
Might be worth a try.September 4, 2023 at 6:01 pm in reply to: Hoover HL500HM 001 (391010392235) Vacuum Power Cord/Flex #487828matrixresonator
ParticipantProbably some trim/decor needs unclicking to reveal some screws

ParticipantOnly problems I get with the heads is either motor or hose as Dave says. I know Qualtex do a replacement hose, Maddocks do some filters (and main motor)
Genuine parts are direct as far as I know, I’ve enquired about a trade account with them but not got anywhere.matrixresonator
ParticipantAs Dave says. Try it on a quick wash and see if it heats then (tacho only affects full wash)

ParticipantYes, If you look where the live wire goes in there’s a jumper to that terminal with the loose screw. If it’s failing to connect there, then whatever that connects to isn’t getting a live supply.

ParticipantThere’s an FML942KUK that starts “76” not “75”, that was made 2018-10-24

ParticipantIf it’s dirty water, it’s not back filing down the drain hose is it?
matrixresonator
ParticipantIf they’d thought about it, they could have at least installed it a bit more to the right so the filter could drain into the bath :p

ParticipantI’ve emailed Megger who have responded this morning.
The tester does a pre-test check before each stage, however pressing the test button again overrides the pre-test and continues the test. Just tried it on my washer and all tests pass successfully.

ParticipantWas beginning to think that was the case, might have to look for an alternative tester then.

I’ve got a Megger PAT120 which goes through the tests automatically in sequence, and stops the test if 1 fails.
Tried it on my washer which passes the continuity, but failed on Insulation It was flashing the symbol to indicated the appliance is turned off and doesn’t move on to the leak test.I’ve meggered the cable, elements etc and everything comes back good, so I was presuming its failed as there’s no circuit with it being turned off.
As its a digital dial the machine isn’t actually “on” so wondered how you handle this in a test environment.(I don’t go out testing, but have got one to test appliances after a repair)

ParticipantCan only be 1 of 2 things cauding that:
1) Faulty inlet valve letign water trickle in (turn water tap off to see if it stops)
2) If the drain hose connects to a spigot on the waste under the sink, make sure it loops upwards otherwise water will run back into the machine.
