ParticipantSometimes a dodgy element going to earth can cause the heater relay code. disconnect the element and run it to see if the code returns.

We’re all fuming just reading about this guy!Its your total right just to hang up on such a dick! Try it. its fun!!
Thankfully it’s rare where i live to come across this type of person so wasn’t kinda prepared for it. In the 20 years i have been doing this i have never come across like an individual like him.
Was talking to an Electrician friend. He has heard of him and he has been warned to stay clear from people who know him..

ParticipantHe was supposed to phone back tonight to see if i found a WF belt. I do have one but i told him last night i would have to look to see or maybe order one , to give me more time to see how to handle it. I did get 2 missed calls tonight but he then gave up. It’s unusual as those type of people usually ring ring ring and feckin ring with 20 missed calls within 15 minutes!
Further to his arrogance his wife was at home all day but he expected me to call only when he got home from his work at 9pm+. obviously he was afraid incase his wife would pay me fairly i’m guessing…

ParticipantIs the main wash motor ok?
Micky 32
ParticipantCheck that the pressure switch chamber isn’t blocked. Come actross a few that were that gave an intermittent spin. Also have come across a broken wire at the motor plug.

ParticipantSo true, but not in this case.

Thanks Geoff for the reply, was very helpful. For a test i put a “j5” in my own Electrolux oven. My one is a “F5”. Definately underheats. I have to put it to 220 to get the same level of heat as it was at 150. 😕

ParticipantOP try a reset. This morning i went back to the machine that had all the spin lights and wash light flashing. I did a reset and it came back to life.

ParticipantYeah on this machine top, middle and bottom were flashing. First thing i checked were the carbons but were ok. The only way to get rid of the fault code was a reset. Turn knob to off. Turn knob to 6 o clock position ( spin). Touch and hold the spin speed button and turn knob to 7 o clock position ( drain). Keep holding spin speed button for 5 seconds and then turn on and off.

ParticipantThe plot thickens! A mate calls me tonight and has the above machine with same model and FD number. Flashing lights! Only 3 in this case. It’s supposed to be motor fault. Checked brushes all ok. Did a reset and came back to life.

Can anyone confirm if this is the board? I just came across the exact same fault, in my case they are flashing . Also the machine is the exact model and FD number! Faulty batch?

ParticipantIf they have the same plug they are interchangeable. There is a Sole version too. You will probably find they will send you a Ceset. They did for me and it worked.

ParticipantCould be what they’re drying. Clothes that have strings hanging off them can get caught at the front of the drum and jam it breaking the belt. I went to one where they tried to dry runners and the laces got caught and jammed the drum.
