Is this a new style model ? Remember that if you get a control module , it may need programming .

Just checked the model and its not too bad a job.
Undo the two big screws at the top of the inner door . This releases the outer door which you lift up and away. With the outer door off , unscrew and remove the left and right hinge brackets from the door inner and then lift off the main part of the door from the hinges. Voila ! Door removed and ready for inner glass access. Just a quick note. Make sure you put all the unassembled parts up the right way on refitting as the mesh sometimes has different holes for the inner glass screws. ….of which there are a lot. Due to having done a ‘few’ , this particular job only takes me approx 20mins….If I’ve charged my drill enough 🙂

The normal reason for this fault is a grease/fat/food debris buildup on the bottom edge of the inner glass. The concentration of grease creates a ‘hotspot’ and hence a flare up which in turn creates thermal shock . You should find that the glass shattering radiates from an single point at the bottom of the glass and that’s where the build up is. Just advise your customer to keep the bottom edge clean.
As for access to replace it. …I’ll get back later this afternoon 🙂

Door lock ? Are you talking about the mechanical lock or the sensor on the top of the inner door ? If you’ve changed the sensor and checked the wiring but you’re still getting e.06 , then the module is the likely candidate.

No probs , fella. The question has been asked a couple of times on here and it’s one of the odd faults I’ve seen that I actually remember 🙂

Does it stop after approx 15mins ? One thing to check…..and I’m pretty sure this will be the problem…..is there a screw or some other ‘obstruction’ right above the pre-rinse button as the door closes ? My guess is something is pressing down on the pre-rinse button causing that particular cycle to be selected as door shuts !!!

Possibly a blocked condensor causing an overheat condition ? If you can access the test programme, you might find an F.08 error code.

The detergent door and the rinse aid release are controlled by the same solenoid so only one plug is needed. There may be a second connector but that’s for the rinse aid level.

Water in base ? Check door boot for leaks and also if it’s been moved recently check to make sure the base panel/flood float hasn’t been damaged.

Word of warning. A duff heat pump or blocked non-return valve can also throw up this fault code. If the fault code appears at the beginning , approx 2/3 mins after starting , and the machine doesn’t actually get going then it could be the heat pump.
Saying that , I had one 2 weeks ago with Intermittent e24 and it turned out to be a blockage in the drain hose/sink connection causing slow draining.

As Martin says , make sure the white nylon bushing/bearing on bottom of hinge is still in one place.

Probably Motor module if it’s the new brushless motor model. The customer may say the drum ‘squeaks’ and maybe jerks as it turns.

In that case , look at the top of the forum stickies and you’ll see a post about Bosch/Neff/Siemens dishwashers with 1min left ‘Syndrome’. Everything you need to know should be in there. Its normally a blocked pressure chamber/fill hose problem.

    Re: Bosch dishwasher not drying

I’d first be asking the customer if they’re using the quick wash cycle…..which doesn’t have a drying cycle .
