Yes mate , they do occasionally fail and with the symptoms you describe. It wouldn’t surprise me if when questioned , the customer says that they leave it switched on after the cycles finished. The constant supply to the power relay is a probable cause.

They can have a tendency to get pump hose blockages i.e in the hose between the drain pump and water container . The pump is situated on the RHS and the hose runs under the drum so is longer than usual. If the prob is an ’empty container’ lighting up but the container has no water in it , that’s where I’d be looking !

It’s not a fault methinks. I believe it means the time delay is set to 22 hours !!!

Trace the lamp wires to the main control/relay board . You’ll probably find burnt/blown track and comonents adjacent to the lamp connection which will also affect the other operations . I would be thinking it may need new board AND lamp socket . Examination of the original light bulb and socket may show evidence of the short .

    Re: Bosch WTE84103GB/08

    3 possibilities really .
    1. The front edge of the drum is damaged . The drums are so thin that the front edge can get ripped away by a foreign object which leads me onto…..
    2. Something trapped between drum and front bearing.Only way to really check is to pull drum out ( through the back by the way ! )
    3. The rear bearing is worn…..although these will tend to squeak rather than clonk .

    Re: BOSCH WVD24520GB/01 Drying fault

The fault occurs due to overheating detected by the dryer ntc . Off the top of my head i can’t remember the exact fault code that shows when you get into the test program (may be F08 ?) but it relates to Ntc / harness fault and is a bit of a red herring in some ways.

I’m thinking there’s a blockage at the bottom of the condenser where it’s connected to the tub .

i just deflect rhe fan slightly.

Hmmm…..the problem there is that the fan shaft can bend causing the fan blade to run out of true. This in turn causes oscillations , noises and even the blade to strike the top securing screw. I’ve seen this numerous times.
The blade on the fans are ‘balanced’ , much like a car wheel. If you do ever take one Off , look at the back of it . It will have little counter sunk holes to ensure true running.

Sorry , misread the original post ! Yes , it’s probably the RHS board then…..although the LHS one is more renowned for failing hence my mistake . πŸ™‚

Model would help but if it’s an alternating e and 0 then pound to a pinch it’ll be the LHS PC board.
