Re: NEFF K3990X6gb/02 burnt out motor

Is this an American side by side ? If it’s the freezer fan , there’s a chance you’ve plugged it in to the wrong connector on the rear wall !!! I’ve done it myself but it’s dependant on the model. There are 2 connectors in the freezer that the new fan can fit into……worth a look ?

If you switch the oven off from the mains and then switch back on , does it take around 5 mins for the fan to start and then it continues uninterrupted ? From your description , I’d be betting that there’s a coupling behind the selector switch that has broken. Off the top of my head I think the part number is 420601……but don’t quote me on that ! Lol

If the coupling is broke , the selector knob and selector switch don’t match up so what the knob shows isn’t the correct position.

………that’s if this model has the coupling. I havn’t any details to hand right now to confirm it but that’s my guess 🙂

Re: Bosch Neff Half Moon Element Removal

The fan removal is nearly always a pain in the backside . I spend a few minutes more ensuring it’s removed properly so as not to bend the motor shaft as it can cause the fan to oscillate and catch making it noisy.
I don’t use a blow torch or WD40 but my method does require the oven to be removed (not normally too much hassle as they’re built-under ovens)

First I remove the fan blade securing nut (reverse thread remember !) then after pulling the oven out I remove the rear cover and then the 3 securing screws holding the fan motor in place. Back to the oven cavity and I put the bottom flat end of my hammer on the end of the shaft and knock it backwards. This forces the motor back until the shaft end is flush with the blade. Go to the back and the motor should pull away leaving the blade loose in the oven . It may seem a bit involved but it only takes a few minutes more and ensures a clean removal.

It’s also worth giving the motor shaft and the inner hole of the blade a quick rub down with a bit of abrasive paper to help them slide together again during reinstall.

The model number or ENr is normally etched on the top of the door inner . Its not always easy to see but it should be there. The other place is a small sticker on the left hand side of the door.

Do you have the left hand side module part number ? If it begins with 666*** then it’ll prob be that one. The left hand side provides the power to the operating module IIRC and 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it’s the LHS board that’s at fault .

    Re: bosch code

You will need the relevant spin speed led that’s flashing too.
I.e if it’s the middle spin speed LED and the bottom 2 progress LED’s (spin and end ?) then that’ll be F:43 – motor fault .

The combination of LED’s is important so if you post the correct one’s here , i’ll try and point you in the right direction.

P.s If it is F:43 motor fault , you’ll need to also reset the machine via the test program after sorting the problem

The inlet valve on these is a double valve with the water and ice supplies having their own valve. I’d be checking the resistance of the valves first. It’s on the back , bottom left .

Front fan off – motor connections and ‘horseshoe’ clamp removed . Rear ‘kidney’ panel off and motor should release backwards – This pulls the motor shaft back allowing you to slip the new belt over the shaft end onto the pulley. Just make sure the belt is positioned correctly on the pulley and doesn’t rub on the larger belt.

Would think its an ‘SMS’ and E15 is water in the base operating flood protection system. Check lower door seal , salt pot nut but pay good attention to the seal/securing nut on the left hand side matrix where it connects to the tank.
