ParticipantDon’t just think you can fit and hope. There is another thread on here about someone who did just that…..and found it to be an expensive mistake .
Unfortunately , we cannot give you any detailed wiring advice due to forum rules.nomadPaul
ParticipantE:02 is a ‘running without heating’ fault. Let us know how the second wash goes as these appliances run a diagnostics test before starting so i would have expected that error code to appear before the dishwasher started its cycle.
Saying that , i’ve yet to come across this error code on any of these Siemens dishwashers.

ParticipantTo get the lower front panel off needs the door outer panel off ( 6 screws along inner edges ) This will allow access to lower plate ( 2 screws – 1 either side ) and this should then reveal the metal lower front plate – 2 screws. this will reveal the lower hose.

This is a very helpful thread as it exactly describes my problem – water not heating, 1 minute error – so I guess my heater element/control board is broken. Yet to take the machine apart to see which it is. Mine is a SGS5342GB/17 – about 9 years old.
I can see the spare heater element in the store area but cant see the controller board for my model. Any idea where I can get it from if that is what i find I need?
Thanks David
David , before you go ahead , have you checked the water levels 1st ? The most common cause of a Bosch dishwasher not heating and sticking on 1 minute is low water levels caused by a blocked pressure chamber/ hose. You will need to check the left hand side/front left lower area to find these particular parts.
When it initially fills , does it make any thunking noises ? The water should just about cover the whole of the base inside the machine once its been running for a few minutes. If it doesn’t then i’d definitely check the pressure chamber/hose 1st as it may save you a lot of time , effort and money.

ParticipantIts good to remember that it won’t change/reset the times until its run through a complete programme.

ParticipantIt’s probably the level float sticking. The level float is sited at about the 5 o’clock position in the sump . Remove the small circular grey cover and the float runs up and down a channel underneath it.
Remove the float , clean it thoroughly and then really clean out the small channel it runs up and down in. You’ll probably find it bunged up with grease and gunge .
Replace the float…..***IMPORTANT TO MAKE A NOTE OF THE ORIENTATION OF THE FLOAT SO IT GOES BACK IN THE RIGHT WAY UP***Hopefully that’ll clear the fault for you

ParticipantThe most probable cause is worn brushes in the motor . 4 flashes indicates motor not turning properly.
If its the brushes you’ll need 154740 – £25odd + VAT.
If you’re unlucky , the motor may be cooked but at £200:00 , its a lot to lay out on a 15 yr old machine .nomadPaul
Participantif you take off the chimney section , all should be revealed .
Or have a gander here to see the exploded view

ParticipantIs the 1200 light the top LED ? If so , and you can open the door straight away then it sounds like the door lock . You should hear the door lock ‘click’ about 2 seconds after pressing start.

ParticipantYou could here for parts

ParticipantDoes it have a decor door fitted to the front of the appliance ? It may be that the F/F has moved back slightly in its housing and the decor door is holding the actual freezer door off the casing.
Also make sure you take all the freezer drawers out when testing just in case they’re causing the problem.

ParticipantAllan , what i would say is that if you can’t get the appliance out , then the Bosch engineer will prob struggle too. There’s only so much that we can do if the machine is wedged in so it might be worth trying to get it out for a look yourself anyway. It could be your drain hose blocked and its leaking/backflowing on drain. Can you hear any water splashing when the appliance drains ?

Its not door seal ,when you open door the water is just below lip
