I’ve seen it on machines that have stopped heating or having problems with water levels. Also , do they use the quick wash more often than not?

Normally a large flat bladed screwdriver under the bottom edge will help prise of the facia panel.

Is the display resetting to 160*c after the temp has been set higher? It sounds like the temp is resetting to its default setting during use. Try setting the fan oven temperature to 180*c and playing around with the selector switch to see if you can recreate the fault. This might give you an idea If that’s what is actually occuring.

Don’t know the difference tbh but I will say that we have the top one 00610147 as van stock as that’s the one we use most often.

The diverter going can easily take out the triad on the control module so examine the board and see if you can see any of the 5 grouped triacs with damaged tops.

Re: Bosch Dishwasher SMS40T42UK/34 Check Water Light Flashin

It sounds like an e15 flood protection error code which would suggest a leak into the base. Are you sure there’s no water in the base? Before going down the control module fault , I’d be checking the actual switch on the flood protection device first.

So you set a temp setting on a zone eg 9 on rear left and the 9 flashes. What happens if you put a saucepan on it ? Does the hob go dead , the 9 stop flashing or just not register the pan?

A ‘cagey’ fuse is a typo…..It should have said ‘safety’ 🙂

Normally the inverter but you’ll need to check the internal cagey fuse too

I’d check to make sure that there isn’t a child lock set on it first. The brief flashing red lines immediately after switch on are normal.

The 10yr guarantee is for the brushless induction motors I believe.

Hmmmmm…….I can’t say I’ve heard of a WIS failing so early due to bearings ? Hope it’s just one of those odd failures that sometimes happens.

    Re: Bosch WKD28350GB/03

Tbh , I very much dislike these machines ! The condenser is prone to getting badly blocked and can be a pain to get to and clear . The fans also get blocked causing bad air flow. The inner airway where the dryer element sits can get fluffed up including the face of the temp limiter.
There is a fluff clean programme normally ignored by the customer even though a symbol appears on the display to remind them it needs carrying out. The earlier models were worse as the fluff clean was both to short on time and not a high enough water level. This was improved in later models but still not brilliant.
