ParticipantI had to do one yesterday and there was no coding sheet with the module , which is the way with this part i think – Fortunately , we have the coding instructions in our laptop software .
I’d get in touch with Bosch technical and request the coding from themnomadPaul
ParticipantYou will need to enter the test mode to clear it. Its also still under manafacturers warranty by the looks of it. We normally replace the control module with this particular fault with an under-guarantee machine.

ParticipantIs your washing not drying at all ? Do you find it all wet , hot and steamy at the end of a cycle ? ( no pun intended with regards to your user name 🙂 )
If they are like that , there are a couple of possible causes .
nomadPaul
Participantit normally means either not draining or no water going in…..HOWEVER , if it is a modle that has the impellor jug fitted , this going faulty can give this warning as the machine fills but the module doesn’t see any flow of water coming in. Normally has the classic fills/empties/fills/empties continously as a sympton.

Participanton the flightless ones picture , look at the ribbed hose coming out of the bottom right hand corner of the pressure chamber. You may find this blocked up with the gunge .
nomadPaul
ParticipantOnce this noise starts , open the door and let us know how much water there is in the bottom of the tub.

ParticipantWhen you start a cycle , does the DW fill properly with a full water level and then start to work…or does it immediately mae this noise ?
It could be the motor running ’empty’ if the appliance actually thinks its full of water .
start a new cycle and listen . You should hear it pump out for about 30sec , then fill with water and then start to ‘wash’.
Post here again if any different .

Participantthis may seem limke a silly point , but the German sheet doesn’t have the English alongside/under it does it ? There are a few coding sheets that have this double language system .

ParticipantFO:9 is a heating fault i.e No heating is being detected –
Could be open curcuit heater , faulty temp sensor or most commonly – the overheat stat has popped open circuit due to an overheat condition normally caused by blocked door filter or opening the door during a cycle without stopping the appliance first

ParticipantProbably blocked pressure chamber/hose causing red float to flood bringing on flood protection…..then water gradually seeps out and hey presto ! machine starts working again.

ParticipantI managed to get 4 calls done , dropping 3 that were up the more treacherous side roads. All of the customers i re-booked understood and the customers that i finished were amazed i even turned up !!

ParticipantBob , when you say it constantly cools , are you getting ice build up in the fridge ?
I’d be looking at the door not closing properly or the inner light not switching off first.
nomadPaul
ParticipantWith the appliance running with the door open , it meant there was water in the base activating the flood protection system so there would most probably be a leak. The water would be sitting in the base unit and so you wouldn’t actually see any water outside the machine.
A leaking motor seal could be the cause. If it has been leaking for some time , it could have caused corrosion in the motor and thus the need for a new motor as well as sealing kit.
All in all , i sounds a feasible reason for a fault.
Have you checked the drain pump impellor for a foreign object . It should be accessible via a small white cover in the base of the tub , under the filters .

ParticipantJim , as far as i’m aware , NO Bosch machine has a sealed tub –

Participantyou’ve cleared the blockage yourself by using the pipe cleaner to clean the 4 small square holes . A long electrical cable tie can also be used . Pushed up into the holes and towards the back will break up the blockages (mildew) . Then run a rinse cycle which will flush out any disturbed gunge .
The water comes straight in from the water inlet valve.
Good tips to help prevent a recurrence are –
Leave the drawer pulled out slightly and the appliance door open when not in use . This allows the machine to dry-out better
Regular 90*C service washes – once a month , empty , run a 90*c cycle to help kill off the bad bacteria/bugs that cause the black mould/mildew build up.
Its not advised to use soda crystals in these appliances and they will make no difference to the dispenser tray anyways.
